Mark Feetham - Maths Specialist
Mark Feetham is an experienced educator with over three decades of teaching in diverse primary schools, as well as serving as an academic tutor and presenter at the tertiary level. Currently, he works at Flinders University supporting preservice teachers and assessing Digital Technology within primary education degree courses, while also teaching Digital Technology at the primary school level. With extensive experience as a STEM coordinator and a postgraduate master’s degree focusing on STEM learning, Mark shares his expertise through mathematics tutoring with Achieve Online Educational Tutoring. He has been a classroom teacher, specialist teacher for both primary and secondary schools, and a lead mathematics tutor for the Department for Education and Melbourne University’s collaborative tutoring program, Learning+. Mark’s passion lies in igniting students’ love for mathematics through a growth mindset approach, helping them develop a positive perception of both mathematics and themselves as powerful learners. He believes in the transformative power of inspiring students and their families to enjoy mathematics and appreciate its role in all aspects of life.
Many children believe they are “bad at maths,” which undermines their confidence and limits their future potential. St Raphael’s School in Parkside is hosting The Maths Movement - a special event designed to bust the myth that some people simply “aren’t maths people.”
