Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown

Trinity Catholic College presented its first-ever Spotlight Spectacular production last Thursday, and this student-driven show was a great success!

Over 55 students were involved across all areas, including backstage, costuming, props, set design, front of house, MCing, scriptwriting, directing, producing, sound, lighting, and acting.

On the night, they presented the show across two acts—Junior and then Senior—to showcase the talent in our rapidly growing Drama department to a ticketed audience of over 120. A huge congratulations to all involved in what was a truly entertaining and successful event!

The theme for this year's Book Week is 'A Symphony of Stories'. The 2026 CBCA Winners and Shortlisted books are on display, ready for students to borrow.

August is READING MONTH at TCC!

Trinity Catholic College is celebrating Book Week, and for the very first time, TCC will be participating in the MS Readathon!

As part of our whole-school reading push throughout August, we are encouraging our entire community to dive into books while supporting an incredibly worthy cause. We have already raised over $500!!

This is the month your love of reading turns into real impact for families living with MS and neurological conditions, as you set your own goals and raise funds.

This is a student-driven Drama night, showcasing our junior and senior Drama students, production students, backstage crew and scriptwriters.
They will be presenting a series of short plays for a night of spectacular entertainment in the Factory Theatre!

Trinity Catholic College is pleased to announce our College Leaders for 2027: Mary Tutman, Gabriel Widseth, Elizabeth Woodcock and Joshua Wolfson.

As a school community, we congratulate them on their impressive applications and look forward to seeing them take the reins as our senior student leaders from Term 4.

On Wednesday 12th August, Trinity Catholic College senior Drama Students Joshua Wolfson and Jonah Thompson performed at the Australian Theatre for Young People's (ATYP) annual Intersection Festival in Sydney. Their incredible performance changed the energy in the room and finished the night with an impressive impact. Prior to the show, Jonah spoke with the ABC's Nick Gill on the Newcastle and Upper Hunter's Drive program about the pair performing the play 'Driving Everywhere Nowhere All At Once', a piece they workshopped at school.

They also had the opportunity to work with ATYP's George Kemp - producer and passionate arts mentor and educator. Post-performance, they had the privilege of meeting the scriptwriter of this piece, Sean Larry Mudariki, who complimented them on how they performed and adapted his script for the stage.
This has been an incredible opportunity for two very talented future performers!
