🌿 Week 1 | Pairing Back
Understanding what the planning cycle is really asking of us and where we may be making it harder than it needs to be.
🌿 Week 2 | Leading Change
Practical and relational approaches to bringing your team with you and supporting change in everyday practice.
🌿 Week 3 | Tailoring Support
Meeting educators where they’re at and recognising that leadership support doesn’t need to look the same for everyone.
🌿 Week 4 | Protecting the Leader
Looking after the person behind the role, protecting your energy and finding practical ways to make leadership feel more sustainable.
The Spring Series is a chance to step away from the day-to-day for an hour each week and spend some dedicated time on your own leadership, while connecting with others who understand the Educational Leader role.
I would love for you to join me!

Did I promise you a certificate after a session you attended and then… not actually send it? 😂

Classic Ella. Great at delivering the session. Slightly less impressive at remembering the certificate afterwards 💛

If you’re still waiting on one, please DM me and I’ll make sure it finds its way to you!

When I say please book ahead to avoid disappointment, I really do mean it, especially if you’re hoping to organise a PD day during the school holidays. 💛

I’ve just taken my first booking for the April 2027 school holidays, and those dates are always some of the first to fill.

So if you already have a PD day in mind for 2027, it’s definitely not too early to get in touch and pop a date in the calendar. 💛

I love that Exchange Press just shared about singing!

I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity.

ECEC peeps, you’ve been handed the microphone.

You get one announcement over the early childhood loudspeaker and every educator in Australia has to listen!

What are you saying?
Maybe it’s…
“Not everything needs to be laminated!”
“A photo does not automatically make it documentation!”
“Children do not need to be busy every second of the day!”
“Yes, sitting and observing IS doing something!”
Or maybe you’ve got something much better 💛

What would you say that you want others to listen to?

A little work update 💛

I know from the outside it probably looks like I’ve got a lot of different things happening, and I do!

Between my Traineeship Support Manager role, consultancy commitments with various projects and now my Area Manager role with Children's Services Community Management, about half of my working week is spoken for.

But the other half is still very much mine to do the work I love through Ella de la Motte - Early Childhood Consultant

I’m still out and about running PD days, mentoring and coaching leaders, supporting services with projects, presenting at conferences and creating sessions specifically for teams.

I love the mix of work I have now, and I’m definitely still making room in my calendar for services, teams and opportunities that come my way.

So yes, I’m busy... yes I'm planning for exciting projects ahead, but I’m still here and I wouldn't have it any other way 💛

This is so worthy of a watch, particularly if you’ve had a big week and are needing help……

I could not love this more!
