We're a Home Education Community group based at Acacia Ridge Leisure Centre (Swimming) weekly most 10wks of term. We started out facilitating/organising school age swimming sessions for Home Educated Students in 2021 - not only for Learn to Swim children but as a local social opportunity for kids competent in swimming, to have fun, develop strength and training and have an opportunity all year to socialise with friends/while learning and developing through consistent physical activity.

Swimming runs from the ages 4yr+. Consistent interest mostly runs between the ages of 4-12yr but we do/have catered to older competent swimmers up to 15yrs. Some of our current competent swimmers aged between 7-12 are training in their second year learning and strengthening their skills in 25m freestyle/backstroke, butterfly and breastroke.

"Not only do swim lessons teach kids to become safer and more confident in and around water; they also help develop vital skills out of the water!" https://www.rackleyswimming.com.au/benefits

Safety, Athleticism and Development.

Rackley Swimming "teaches children to discover a reinforced focus on water safety, helping them to develop life-saving skills sooner. Kids in early-years swimming programs also tend to show improved water familiarisation and orientation. Early-years swimming lessons often help kids develop physical skills sooner than average, and they even help improve hand-eye coordination. It’s been shown that children who take part in early-years swimming develop essential academic, social and personal skills sooner. They even achieve personal milestones much earlier than average — regardless of social background or gender."
