Our Community Garden is thriving thanks to plenty of recent rain! Today, students enjoyed the sunshine and took part in harvesting fresh lemons and broccoli. It’s wonderful to see everyone working together outdoors, learning about sustainability and healthy eating. A big thank you to Roslyn and our garden volunteers for their ongoing support 🌱

As part of our second Design and Technology topic, T15 and T16 have been exploring Food Waste and how it is impacting the environment. We have also looked at charities like OzHarvest and how they are taking up the challenge of helping alleviate food waste. We also practised our cooking skills, like: slicing, dicing, mixing, measuring and layering to create simple recipes like Fruit Skewers, Peach Parfait and Muesli Bliss Balls. We all had a great time creating these fab treats and, best of all, no stove or oven was required!
