🚒 Our students enjoyed an exciting visit from the Kearsley Fire Brigade! They learned about fire safety, how to respond in emergencies, and the important role firefighters play in our community. The highlight of the day? A hands-on experience using the fire hose—lots of laughter and teamwork as everyone got a turn! Thank you to the Kearsley Brigade for inspiring our learners and helping them understand how to stay safe 🔥 NSW Department of Education

🌱 Gardening Program 🌱
Our students from 5/6H and 5/6W have been busy getting their hands dirty and making a wonderful contribution to our school environment through the Gardening Program.
Throughout the term, students have worked together to care for our existing gardens, nurture and harvest a variety of vegetables, and learn about the importance of sustainable gardening practices.
A highlight of the program has been the design of our new Bush Tucker Garden. Students researched native plants, explored their traditional uses, and collaborated to create a garden space that celebrates Indigenous culture and the rich natural resources of Australia.
Students also designed and produced beautiful signage to identify the bush tucker plants that will soon call the garden home. Their artwork, creativity, and attention to detail will help bring the project to life.
We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, responsibility, and enthusiasm shown by our students. A special thanks to Miss Lauren for sharing her knowledge and creating such engaging and meaningful experiences for our students. We can’t wait to watch the Bush Tucker Garden grow and flourish in the years ahead!
🌿 Well done 🌿

K/6 Red swapped the classroom for the great outdoors and embraced learning in the fresh air! 🌞
💨We explored our surroundings, feeling the wind on our cheeks and watching it blow through our hair as we observed the world around us. Using our keen eyes, we sketched what we could see in the worksite, watching the trucks come and go and the workers busily scurry around.
👂We challenged ourselves to strengthen our phonological awareness by listening for, identifying, and recording sounds in words linked to our environment. Well done K/6 Red!! Department of Education

Important School Bus Update – Road Closures on Wollombi Road
A message from Rover Coaches
We would like to inform you of additional road closures on Wollombi Road that will come into effect from Monday, 22 June 2026.
As a result of these closures, some school bus services will be affected, as the bus stops located at St Patrick's Primary School, Cessnock, and opposite St Patrick's Primary School will be temporarily inaccessible.
A temporary bus stop will be in place at North Avenue, corner of Schofield Way for affected school bus services.
These changes may impact student travel, including pickup and drop-off locations, travel times, and bus timetables.
To ensure you have the most up-to-date information regarding your child's bus service, we encourage all families to check the Transport for NSW Trip Planner before travelling.
