It’s almost National Reconciliation Week. Reconciliation Australia has free resources, posters and information to better equip you and your service to recognise National Reconciliation Week. This includes translated posters for culturally and linguistically diverse communities, from Arabic to Vietnamese. Be sure to download the resources and use them in the service. Today is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. As the United Nations states, ‘Cultural diversity is a driving force of development, not only with respect to economic growth, but also as a means of leading a more fulfilling intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual life.’ Embracing everyone’s culture in early learning settings is essential for fostering a strong sense of belonging. It is one of the foundations of inclusive, high-quality early childhood education.
