Today is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. As the United Nations states, ‘Cultural diversity is a driving force of development, not only with respect to economic growth, but also as a means of leading a more fulfilling intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual life.’ Embracing everyone’s culture in early learning settings is essential for fostering a strong sense of belonging. It is one of the foundations of inclusive, high-quality early childhood education.
