Das Wohlergehen unserer animalischen Mitbewohner liegt heute mehr denn je im Fokus unserer Gesellschaft. Darum ist es von größter Wichtigkeit, mit Fachwissen und Gespür, sowie Respekt vor dem Individuum in der Tierhaltung zu agieren. Meine Aufgabe ist es, Fachwissen und Hingabe an Interessierte zu vermitteln. Egal ob es um die Wahl des ersten Heimtiers oder um die Erhaltungszucht der letzten ihrer Art geht, ich stehe mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.

What a great weekend it was! Besides presenting during Friday's ice breaker, i could gather valuable information by listening to a lot of interesting turtle talks (e.g. by and .international ) at the meeting. Speakers were gifted with a nice drawing of one of my favorite species, Malayemys macrocephala and an imprint of a living Aldabra giant tortoise and .de provided some free samples for all participants. Awesome!

A little late to the party but here's the recap of 2025! It was a very intense year but very rewarding. I'm very much looking forward to continuing existing collaborations and to doing something new in 2026. Stay tuned for whats to come this year!

I am happy to announce that i will be a speaker at the 2026 congress in Wiener Neustadt! This event is the annual meeting of all aquarium and h**p enthusiasts from all over Austria and surrounding countries with lectures about many different topics. As it is world animal day, the crew would like to remind you that this day is not only a day to think of and appreciate your pets, but animals in general. Your garden is full of animals we usually do not care about but they also need our protection. Think of your garden as one big enclosure and the well-being of all inhabitants solely relies on you.

Never not h**pin' even if you're on a botanical/gardening trip! We visited the .erlebnisgaerten today and besides plenty of nice landscapes they had lots of scaly friends as well. I loved it!

Egg-citing news! In 2018 I was the first European who published a breeding report on Malayemys macrocephala (thanks, SACALIA magazine!). Now male and female holdbacks from those clutches are adults and I got a first set of eggs! If these hatch, this F2 generation will be another ZooCon success story 😍
