On the 6th of March, iSCAN members attended the WhatsOn Phase II Launch Event. We are pleased to announce that iSCAN will be joining the platform. WhatsOn is the UNODC's database for non-governmental organizations combating organized crime and corruption. The platform's primary goal is to facilitate sharing information, exchanging ideas, and fostering greater collaboration among its members.

This concludes Day 2 of the Conference on Transnational Organized Crime in Armed Conflicts. We want to thank today’s speakers Ceci Fischer (Independent Consultant/WWF ), Loïs Lelanchon (ifaw), Tolibjon Mustafoev (Lund University), Leonel Fernández Novelo (Observatorio Nacional Ciudadano) and Abdoul Kassim I. FOMBA (Think Peace Sahel), as well as our participants for a successful second day.

Day 2 featured workshops on crimes that affect the environment in armed conflicts, illicit financial flows, as well as illicit trafficking and circulation of arms.

Over the coming weeks, we will finalize the SOLVE22 Declaration which contains the speakers’ and participants’ recommendations and commitments to fighting organized crime in armed conflicts in an effort to create positive impact.

Having just wrapped up the first day of the Conference, we want to express our gratitude to Billy Batware from UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and our Founder, our keynote speaker Stephanie Freed (Rapha International) and our two workshop leads Arevik Martirosyan (Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation) and Natalia Holynska (Caritas Ukraine). This first conference day featured workshops on Cyber Security and Trafficking in persons in the context of the war in Ukraine.
