Congratulations to the Lauder Business School IBA Class of 2026! 🎉

On 3 July, we celebrated an incredible milestone as our graduates took the next step into their futures, surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and staff.

We were honoured to welcome Univ. Prof. Mag. Dr. Martin Kocher, Governor of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, whose keynote described graduation as "a day of aspiration." He reminded our graduates that success is built through curiosity, resilience, hard work, and, above all, the people who support us along the way.

In his closing remarks, Prof. (FH) Mag. Julius Dem, MBA, Director of Studies for the International Business Administration Bachelor's program (and newly revealed undercover Swiftie 🎶), encouraged our newest alumni to lead with integrity, stay curious, and always value the family and friends who helped them get here.

LBS has signed a new Student Exchange Agreement with California State University, Channel Islands. Eligible students can study there for a semester or a full year, and pay tuition only to LBS.

🤖 "AI is not about technology. It is about people. It’s about mindset."

That was the argument made on Monday evening at our LBS panel discussion, and it is one worth sitting with.

We had two practitioners in the room: Dr. Balázs Lóránd from Aumovio (autonomous driving, AI strategy) and Prof. Donald Baillie from Accenture Vienna (risk consulting, AI ethics). An hour of unfiltered conversation on what AI actually means for careers, companies, and Europe.

🎯 The takeaway that landed hardest: the professionals who will create value are not the ones who know the most tools. They are the ones who combine deep domain expertise with genuine AI literacy and who keep learning when the tools change again next year.

⚡ One thing became obvious throughout the discussion: AI will continue evolving rapidly, but the ability to think critically, adapt quickly, and lead through uncertainty will remain the real competitive advantage.
