Georgia is becoming an increasingly important international destination for medical education.

At the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year, more than 44,000 foreign students were enrolled in Georgian higher education institutions.

Medical education remains one of the key drivers of international student demand. Recent available data indicate that approximately 91% of foreign students in Georgia are enrolled in medical programmes.

Students come from India, Jordan, Israel, the United Kingdom and many other countries. Available market data also indicate that approximately 6% of foreign students in Georgia are from Israel.
