It was an honour to spontaneously play at the Metastadt open door event. It's always exciting to play on old pianos, especially this one which was previously owned by the Rockefeller family. 🙂

Sometimes it is also good to get inspired by other musicians and pieces. For children especially there is a program called 'Concertino' at the Wiener Konzerthaus, where children get to listen to famous pieces and are allowed to try out various instruments too. :) ☀️🎶

This is how my students learn to read notes. Instead of counting them, they recognize the note's position and therefore are able to read them within seconds. 🎼🎶☀️

Today I got back the 'Notenquiz' (a small quiz) from two great students (6.5 and 9 years old) of mine. The tasks were to read aloud the names of the notes, then to clap the rhythm and to play it once with the left and once with the right hand. After each fulfilled task they can paint a star with colors. :)
Like this they slowly get used to practice at home and see it more as a fun challenge than as a thing they have to do.
I'm very happy to see their great progress within their first month! ☀️🎶
