The Vienna Summer Music Festival is a unique opportunity for students to study, create, and perform in the City of Music. There are programs available in instrumental chamber music, opera performance, composition, and musicology. Students receive lessons with musicians from the Vienna State Opera and Vienna Philharmonic. Cultural excursions include a weekend in Salzburg and adventures all over Vienna. A sneak leak into our rehearsals for one of opera’s most iconic and electrifying works.
“Carmen” follows the fiercely independent Carmen, a woman who refuses to live by anyone else’s rules. Her passion and freedom captivate Don José, setting them both on a path where love, obsession, jealousy, and fate collide. With Bizet’s unforgettable score, “Carmen” explores the intoxicating power of desire and the price of trying to possess someone who was never meant to be owned.
