Building on a Firm Foundation 🧱

As construction reached a major milestone with the first concrete slab back in the Spring, our community gathered for a meaningful moment of prayer and dedication.

Staff, students, board members, parents, and the Building Hope Committee came together to place a Bible inside the foundation. Our Board pledged to continue upholding the Word of God as the foundation for how we serve students and families.

With the help of Mrs. Mecheski, Mr. Dossett, students, and staff, the Bible was carefully placed and sealed into the foundation, one scoop of concrete at a time.

Take a look inside the construction site of ICSV’s new school building! 👀

While everyone was on summer break, our contractors kept working. Binding wires, pouring concrete, and installing the walls for the building.

What’s exciting is that the beams for the gym have now been installed. In total, 10 beams were placed; each is 28.9 meters long and weighs 38.7 tons. Each beam weighs about 5-6 African elephants 🤯

Assembling the beams will create an open, column-free space with room for indoor sports and activities, and an unobstructed view for concerts and theater productions. This is a major milestone in the construction progress for the Building Hope Project, getting us closer to making our dream school a reality.

From an empty lot to a future school! 🏗️

Since the groundbreaking ceremony last Fall, our new campus has gone from plans on paper to foundations, walls, and a building that will soon welcome generations of students.

Once completed, the new school building will accommodate up to 600 students, equipped new classrooms, a multi-purpose gym, a theater stage, playgrounds, a soccer field, an athletic track, and collaborative learning areas.

In June, the 4th Grade Foundational English students hosted a lemonade and snack stand to raise money for the Building Hope Campaign. It was a truly remarkable experience to guide these students as they demonstrated their English skills, kept cool heads under pressure, and worked together to run the stand. Together, they raised €288.11 for the campaign and are already thinking about their next event. Thank you to all the parents and students from all grade levels who rallied together to support this initiative.

“We hope our success inspires other students to turn their ideas into action and see what they can achieve when they work together,” shares Mrs. Thakur, ICSV’s Elementary and Middle School ELL Teacher.

Registration for the ICSV School Bus service is open! 🚌

We are offering morning and afternoon door-to-door pickup and drop-off. Operations run on school days and families can choose round-trip or one-way shuttle service.

Register by July 1, 2026 for the 2026/2027 School Year.
