$170,000 to go.

We’re getting closer to unlocking a fully matched $250,000 gift for Building Hope Project and every gift given right now goes twice as far!

Thanks to our generous community, $80,000 has already been given, bringing us to $160,000 toward our goal. But we still need $170,000 more to fully unlock this matching opportunity.

That means your gift today can make twice the impact for the future of ICSV students. Thank you to the generous donor who recognized our short timeline and extended this matching opportunity through December 31, 2026.

💙 Give today. Double your impact. Help us build hope.

Together, we can make the new ICSV campus a reality.

✨ Introducing the 2026-2027 School Theme: AMAZING GRACE ✨

This year, ICSV is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Throughout the last four decades, we have faced challenges, celebrated milestones, and seen people come and go, but one thing has remained the same: God’s grace over the school. As we reflect on His grace and provision over the last forty years, we see His presence, His power at work, and His purpose being fulfilled.

Mr. Myburgh, our Director, shares: “Reflecting on this grace fills us with gratitude for the past, strengthens our intention for today, and builds our confidence for the future.”

What has truly made the last forty years remarkable is the friendships among students, staff, and parents. We pray that as a community we continue to see and experience God’s amazing grace in the 2026-2027 school year. 💛

Building on a Firm Foundation 🧱

As construction reached a major milestone with the first concrete slab back in the Spring, our community gathered for a meaningful moment of prayer and dedication.

Staff, students, board members, parents, and the Building Hope Committee came together to place a Bible inside the foundation. Our Board pledged to continue upholding the Word of God as the foundation for how we serve students and families.

With the help of Mrs. Mecheski, Mr. Dossett, students, and staff, the Bible was carefully placed and sealed into the foundation, one scoop of concrete at a time.

Take a look inside the construction site of ICSV’s new school building! 👀

While everyone was on summer break, our contractors kept working. Binding wires, pouring concrete, and installing the walls for the building.

What’s exciting is that the beams for the gym have now been installed. In total, 10 beams were placed; each is 28.9 meters long and weighs 38.7 tons. Each beam weighs about 5-6 African elephants 🤯

Assembling the beams will create an open, column-free space with room for indoor sports and activities, and an unobstructed view for concerts and theater productions. This is a major milestone in the construction progress for the Building Hope Project, getting us closer to making our dream school a reality.

From an empty lot to a future school! 🏗️

Since the groundbreaking ceremony last Fall, our new campus has gone from plans on paper to foundations, walls, and a building that will soon welcome generations of students.

Once completed, the new school building will accommodate up to 600 students, equipped new classrooms, a multi-purpose gym, a theater stage, playgrounds, a soccer field, an athletic track, and collaborative learning areas.

In June, the 4th Grade Foundational English students hosted a lemonade and snack stand to raise money for the Building Hope Campaign. It was a truly remarkable experience to guide these students as they demonstrated their English skills, kept cool heads under pressure, and worked together to run the stand. Together, they raised €288.11 for the campaign and are already thinking about their next event. Thank you to all the parents and students from all grade levels who rallied together to support this initiative.

“We hope our success inspires other students to turn their ideas into action and see what they can achieve when they work together,” shares Mrs. Thakur, ICSV’s Elementary and Middle School ELL Teacher.
