Wonderful news to share with all of you! Hamed Pourkheirollah (ESR8) and Elin Howard (ESR4) successfully defended their PhD theses on 15 December 2023 at Tampere University (Finland) and on 4 April 2024 at NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal) respectively.

Their works, entitled "Printed Supercapacitors for Energy Storage and Functional Applications, Modelling, Analysis, and Integration" and "In Situ Electropolymerization for Smart Label Applications" respectively, were part of CHARISMA, the ITN European Industrial Doctorate (ITN-EID) project that focused on applied chemical irreversibility to engineer displays for smart label applications.

Today we want to celebrate this achievement by sharing a couple of photographs. Congratulations guys, and we wish you the best of luck for your future!

Integration of Supercapacitors to Trigger In-Situ Electropolymerization for Irreversible Visual Indicators 04/10/2023

Another success for Charisma MSCA H2020!

Our talented Elin Howard (ESR4) and Hamed Pourkheirollah (ESR8) successfully published a conference paper on IEEE Xplore official website. The title of this research is "Integration of Supercapacitors to Trigger In-Situ Electropolymerization for Irreversible Visual Indicators", and you can access it here:

Fábio Leite (ESR 9) presented his research work entitled "Polymer Printable Electrolytes for Electrochromic Display Application" at the MSE Congress 2022.
Fábio is doing his Ph.D. at Ynvisible Interactive Inc, in collaboration with Bonifazi group at Universität Wien: he is mainly focusing on developing high performing screen printable electrolytes to make ECDs (electrochromic displays) fit for high throughput processing and paving the way for cost-effective, thin and flexible display solutions.

Great job, Fábio! 👏👏👏
