Wiener MusikSeminar
International Master Classes at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vien

19/09/2026

🎶 The 56th Summer Masterclasses of the Wiener Musikseminar have successfully come to a close! 🎶

From 5 August to 16 September 2026, Vienna welcomed musicians from around the world for an inspiring summer filled with music, learning, and international exchange.

Over the course of the Masterclasses, we presented around 40 concerts, held four Prof. Dichler Competitions, and welcomed participants from 40 countries.

Our activities also extended beyond Vienna, with special concerts in Lower Austria at the Haydn Birthplace in Rohrau, the church in Münchendorf, and the Künstlerheim Baden.

We were also delighted to welcome so many audience members from Vienna’s 3rd District to our concerts throughout the summer.

It was a truly successful and memorable 56th edition of the Wiener Musikseminar! 🎉

Our sincere thanks go to the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna for providing us with such wonderful venues and creating the ideal setting for our Masterclasses and concerts.

A heartfelt thank you to all our professors, participants, artists, supporters, partners, and audiences who made this summer such a success.

One unforgettable summer of music in Vienna. 🎶

🎻 Rediscovered: Austrian Composers

In 2026, the Wiener Musikseminar launched a new project dedicated to rediscovering composers and works that are rarely performed today.

Through workshops and concerts, we aim to bring these remarkable but often overlooked works back to the concert stage.

This performance features a violin duo by Ignaz Joseph Pleyel (1757–1831):

🎼 I. J. Pleyel
Duo for Two Violins, Op. 48 No. 1

I. Allegro
II. Andante
III. Rondo (Allegretto)

🎻 Leona Milota & Liliana Dulanska
