The General Meeting 2025 concluded successfully. We are truly grateful to be able to share a dinner together and to gather in good health. Wiener Musikseminar is delighted to welcome Professor Giuseppe Mariotti as a new member of our team, and we very much look forward to working together!

Giuseppe Mariotti:
Giuseppe Mariotti is a pianist whose performances reveal a deep connection to the emotional and expressive layers of music. His acclaimed recordings, especially his masterful interpretation of Ferruccio Busoni’s piano works, have established him as a distinguished interpreter of both classical and contemporary repertoire. His ability to balance technical mastery with fervent expressiveness sets him apart.

Making his solo debut at age 14, his career has since taken him to the world’s most prestigious stages, from Europe to the U.S. and Asia. Whether performing in the historic temples of Kyoto or the grand concert halls of Vienna, his interpretations consistently engage audiences and critics alike with their insight and depth.

Trained at Vienna's Music University, Giuseppe Mariotti’s journey has led him to Japan, where he serves as Professor of piano and Dean of Music Faculty at the Tokushima Bunri University. His influence extends beyond the concert stage — he holds several masterclasses worldwide and is a frequent juror at international competitions.

We were invited to a memorial concert for Professor Peter Schmidl, former clarinetist of the Vienna Philharmonic and a member of the Wiener Musikseminar organized by the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. It was a truly wonderful concert that brought back memories of Professor Schmidl’s exceptional clarinet performances.
