𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬.
On 17 September, Florian Brunner (our Managing Director) had the opportunity to speak at the ICT Austria Industry Forum 2026 about “Education and skilled professionals in the context of digital sovereignty.”
The central message: Artificial intelligence is changing not only technologies, but also the skills required across almost every profession. While technological transformation continues to accelerate, we need to find new ways for people to build and continuously develop their technological capabilities.
Digital sovereignty does not come from infrastructure, systems or investment alone. It requires people with technological understanding, a willingness to learn and the courage to embrace new paths.
This is exactly where the 42 education model comes in: practice-oriented, project-based learning, peer-to-peer collaboration and continuous development — without traditional entry barriers and without requiring prior knowledge.
If we want to strengthen digital skills across society, we need to make learning possible beyond traditional educational pathways. Only then can we educate the professionals and experts Austria and Europe need for a digitally sovereign future.
