We’re excited to announce that applications to join the Vienna EUDC 2027 Tab Team are officially open.

We are proud to present our Design Director, Lara Dragojević!

About the design:

Our aim for this tournament was not only to create a logo but to make a fully cohesive and recognisable visual identity, which will be present in all visual facets of the tournament.

Klimt's artwork was the main reference point for the visual identity design of this event. He is not only the most recognisable Viennese artist there is, but he fits our tournament perfectly as you will be able to see his murals in the main debate venue. He was known for using gold leaf and painting flowing patterns containing spirals and organic shapes. You, of course, already know this if you debated the Secession motion at this year's Vienna IV.

A part of the visual identity is a custom typeface Lara made especially for this. It is inspired by the lettering of the Wiener Werkstatte, a faction of artists and designers closely related to the Viennese Secession. The style is reflected through elongated monoline glyphs with peculiar proportions. It also contains a plethora of ligatures, characteristic of this style of typography.
