📢 An open tender has been launched under the NET-Work You initiative for the design and implementation of two rounds of pre-departure training in Egypt, supporting young Egyptian participants selected for mobility pathways to Italy in the green economy sector.
The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Migration Partnership Facility (MPF), contracted by ICMPD, and implemented by Confcooperative and CIHEAM Bari.

🤝 Strengthening partnerships for skills development and labour mobility between Egypt 🇪🇬 and Italy 🇮🇹.

📢 The first meeting of the Technical Working Committee of the NET-Work YOU project brought together representatives from the relevant Egyptian ministries, including the Ministries of Education, Labour, Agriculture and Higher Education.

🔁 The meeting marked an important step in consolidating institutional coordination and ensuring that the project’s training programme is fully aligned with national priorities and labour market needs.

📊 During the session, the project team presented the structure, methodology and content of the pre-departure training programme, designed to equip young Egyptian participants with technical and transversal skills in the green and digital sectors.

The Technical Working Committee will continue to support the refinement of the training curriculum and certification framework, paving the way for the upcoming implementation phase of the project in Egypt.

From dialogue to action: NET-WORK YOU has entered its second phase, strengthening circular migration pathways between Italy and Egypt.

Hosted by CIHEAM Bari in cooperation with CONFCOOPERATIVE HABITAT PUGLIA, the Round Table brought together a remarkable institutional panel: Italy's Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali, Regione Puglia , Arpal Puglia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation & Egyptian Expatriates , the European Commission (DG HOME), International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), and the Union of African Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, and Professions (UACCIAP) to move beyond strategy and focus on the practical implementation of circular labour mobility opportunities.

The discussion focused on operational coordination and concrete tools to make visa pathways and internship schemes accessible, effective, and scalable for young professionals, employers, and territories.

News from the NET-Work YOU project regarding the “call for application Youth internship and training” ! 🎉
The first stage of the selection process for the international training and internship program in Italy has been completed, with 141 candidates advancing after a rigorous evaluation.
🗺️ The next stage, which includes further assessments and interviews, is now underway — stay tuned for more updates!
The final shortlist will be confirmed in the first quarter of 2026, and all candidates will be informed by email once the process is finalized.

One of the most significant events organized lately in the framework of NET-WORK YOU Project has been the key inter-ministerial meeting on November 23rd, marking the transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of the NET-Work You project,funded by the European Union through the Partnership Facility

📢 NET-WORK-YOU at the EU Labour Mobility Practitioners' Network 2025 Conference

The NET-WORK-YOU project participated in the EU Labour Mobility Practitioners' Network 2025 Conference in Brussels (November 18-19), which was focused on shaping the next phase of labour migration in Europe.

👥 Daniela Palermo, NET-WORK YOU manager, joined the session "Visa Pathways that Deliver: Building Sustainable Pathways from Project Experiences" and highlighted key lessons from the project with regards to visa and mobility pathways, analyzing the different approaches adopted when navigating visa challenges — from anticipating barriers to developing innovative solutions that ensure timely and compliant mobility.

• Identifying anticipated challenges when implementing
• Mitigation strategies for timely and compliant mobility
• Lessons for future EU talent mobility schemes
