CEU's Source Language Teaching Group provides the CEU student body with beginner and intermediate language courses in less commonly taught source languages in order to assist them with their research needs and with their academic goals, as well as to better prepare them for working and living in an increasingly globalized academic and professional world.

The Source Language Teaching Group courses are starting on September 18!
Ancient Greek, Latin, Ottoman Turkish, Classical Syriac, Persian, Arabic, Hebrew, Yiddish, Russian and Bosnian/ Croatian/Serbian are taught by instructors with academic expertise in the field.

Great news for CEU, Philosophy Department, Medieval Studies Dep. History Dep. and the Source Language Teaching Group:

On March 13, the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) announced five Austrian research projects selected for major funding under the Clusters of Excellence initiative "excellent=austria", awarding multi-year funding to two research clusters with the participation of Central European University (CEU): Knowledge in Crisis, for which CEU is the lead institution, headed by Pro-Rector and Professor Tim Crane; and EurAsian Transformations, with CEU’s participation led by Associate Professor Tijana Krstic.
