«💭 A little bit about me:
Hi-hi! I’m Veronika, a third-year law student at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and it’s my second year participating in Vis🥹
Due to the busy schedules we have at our faculty, I honestly don’t have that much time to spend on my hobbies (as usually, when I have some free time, I willingly go to sleep). But in those rare cases when I do have time, I adore meeting my friends, having fun with them, or just drawing, singing, dancing or reading as it relaxes me so much!

💭Why Vis?
Taking into account the fact that it’s my second time participating, I’m definitely sure Vis is something that makes you addicted to it. And once you try it, your life will never be the same. Vis gives you more freedom, long-lasting friendships, and precious memories that make your heart melt even on the darkest days.

💭What do I expect to gain from Vis?
I certainly expect to become a better version of myself. It’s about upgrading my research skills, mastering the art of oral advocacy, and personal development that helps you overcome fears and gain confidence and practical experience that will never be taught at university🙌🏼»

“💭A little bit about me:
Hi, my name is Iryna, I’m a third-year law student at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and it’s my first year in a Vis Moot community. I enjoy photography and writing, love to read. Also, I want to learn how to draw, but for now, it’s just a wish 🙂

💭What is my motivation to participate in Vis?
I have two main reasons: I like competition and facing new academic challenges. I learned about Vis Moot long before entering the university, and even then the idea sounded like exactly what I needed and was interested in.

💭What do I expect to gain from Vis?
In addition to gaining new experience, deepening my knowledge in arbitration, and generally improving my research, writing, and talking skills, I want to meet some new people. Especially considering that these people are united by common ideas, goals, and desires, and therefore we are very similar. Everyone who told me about their experience during Vis emphasized how good acquaintances they made and how often these acquaintances turned into friendships.”

My name is Diana Onyshchak. I am a fourth-year student at the Faculty of International Relations at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. In my free time, I love to express myself through art and design, as it brings me creativity and balance outside of my academic life.

💭Why Vis Moot?
I firmly believe that every experience during your student years can have a lasting impact. My main motivation for participating in Vis Moot is the opportunity to develop essential legal and analytical skills that will play a crucial role in my future career.

💭What I expect to gain from Vis Moot?
I am looking forward to gaining new knowledge, practical experience, and making meaningful connections with people from all around the world. I also hope to enjoy the challenges of teamwork and have a fulfilling experience throughout the competition. I am excited to see where this journey will take me.»

💭A little bit about me:
“My name is Anna Hopshta. I am a third-year law student at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and this is my first year participating in Vis Moot. In my free time from legal studies, I try to escape into the world of books. Reading allows me to recharge and find inspiration during the intensity of academic responsibilities.

💭What was my motivation to take part in Vis?
I am completely sure, that it’s so important to use every opportunity when you are a student. What motivates me the most is the knowledge and skills I can gain from participating in Vis Moot, which will undoubtedly be invaluable for my future career.

💭What I expect from Vis?
Knowledge, practical skills and people - these are the three things that I want to gain after the end of the Vis Moot competition. I am also looking forward to having a lot of fun and experiencing excellent teamwork. I truly hope this journey will be incredible.”

💭”My name is Volodia, a fourth-year international law student, and this is my first time participating in the Vis Moot competition.
In my limited free time I try to balance both active and intellectual rest by playing basketball for physical activity and chess to keep my mind sharp.

💭Why Vis?
It’s a great opportunity to improve my research and advocacy skills, while working with a team of like-minded people who share the same passion for law. On top of that, representing my university on such a big stage is a huge honor and motivates me to do my best.

💭What I expect to gain from Vis?
From the Vis Moot competition, I expect to gain hands-on experience in international arbitration, build strong connections with peers and professionals in the field, and grow both personally and professionally through the challenges of high-level competition.»

To shortly conclude our submission, which describes in the best way this Vis Moot journey of Ivan Franko Team - 2024, we would like to present you our 6 months just in few numbers:
⁃ 6 incredible teammates loving and supporting each other;
⁃ 4 super professional coaches;
⁃ 3 incredible bootcamps by CLDP;
⁃ 7 pre-moots attended;
⁃ 7+ new countries visited;
⁃ 2 memoranda submitted;
⁃ 50+ rounds played;
⁃ 2500+ new wonderful people met;
⁃ endless hours spent rewriting the speeches;
⁃ endless hours spent laughing and talking with beloved people and totally new ones;
⁃ infinite love and gratitude to all of those making this 6 months the hardest ones and at the same time the best ones in this year!🫶🏻

🔍Команда Віс Мут Львівського національного університету ім. Івана Франка бере участь у наймасштабніших змаганнях з міжнародного комерційного арбітражу ще з 2015 року!

Vis Moot (скорочено від «The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot») – конкурс із міжнародного комерційного арбітражу, який є одним із найпрестижніших і найбільших міжнародних мут кортів🙌🏼 Цьогоріч у ньому взяли участь 373 команди з усіх куточків світу (~2500 учасників)😱

Ми завжди відкриті до нових ініціативних та запалених учасників у нашій команді! Проте, ми також розуміємо, як часто страх та сумніви беруть гору навіть над найсміливішими студентами👌🏻

Тому, аби продемонструвати вам, що мут корти - геть зовсім не страшно, а навпаки - захопливо, перспективно та цікаво, ми запрошуємо відвідати нашу відкриту гру (яка відбуватиметься у відповідності з усіма стандартами Vis Moot)🫶🏻

Throwback to the Warsaw and Vilnius Pre-Moots🫶🏻

📌Warsaw [13-14th February]: 6 rounds, 2 team members, incredibly warm people, 3-rd place;
📌Vilnius [16-20th February]: 4 rounds, 3 days of new knowledge, 2 cancelled flights and unforgettable memories.

On 27-28th January our team has attended Mini Pre-Moot among Ukrainian teams, which took place in Kyiv!💙

What a beautiful journey it was:

⁃ friendly atmosphere;
⁃ amazing arbitrators;
⁃ the best law firms hosting us;
