Data protection
Dear visitor to our Facebook fan page,
In its decision made on 05.06.2018 the European Court of Justice (ECJ) stipulated that people operating fan pages on Facebook are also responsible for the processing of data by Facebook from a data protection perspective. pages works in the area of “insight” tab with so-called cookies which document your behavior on our fan page. This is the basis which makes the evaluations you see in “Insight” possible. As a consequence, as the operator of the fan page we also carry responsibility – at least as far as the ECJ is concerned. However, we are unable to influence Facebook to deactivate the “Insight” feature. Nevertheless, Facebook has since disabled the “Insight” tab. However, we do not know whether this has also disabled the underlying background functions or if it only the tab which is now invisible. For this reason, FH Oberösterreich has filed a complaint with Facebook Ireland Ltd requesting that the decision to use “Insight” be transferred to the sphere of the users. They have also lodged an additional complaint with the Austrian supervisory authority with a one month implementation deadline according to 77 DSGVO. If you want to make completely sure that surfing behavior is not documented by Facebook, you are not currently permitted to view this page. Sincerely
Your page operator
