!!! Open Student Position in Human-Computer Interaction !!!

The Center for HCI, University of Salzburg is looking for a student assistant (f/m/d) to join the collaborative research project *mad: FEM*mad: Female* Engagements in Making - Making a Difference. In this project, we investigate access to technology-driven making for underrepresented groups – especially women* and girls*. We explore and implement interventions in the field to define “best practices” that facilitate diverse ways of making.

Deadline for application: July 31, 2021
Intended date of beginning: As soon as possible thereafter
Duration: up to 12 months
Extent of employment in hours per week: 20

Du wolltest immer schon mal Mikrokontroller programmieren? Critical Making klingt total spannend aber was ist das eigentlich?
Aber du hattest bis jetzt keine Zeit, keine Möglichkeit oder keine Motivation um dich mit dieser Thematik auseinanderzusetzen?

Klingt gut? Du willst mitmachen? Dann schau doch bitte mal auf folgende Kriterien:
• Du identifizierst dich als weiblich*, transgender oder nicht-binär.
• Du bist zwischen 18 und 40 Jahre alt.
• Du hast Interesse und Bereitschaft über eine Dauer von 12 Wochen selbständig mit den Baukästen zu experimentieren
• Du erklärst dich bereit uns in dieser Zeit (regelmäßig) von Ihren Erfahrungen zu berichten.
• Du besitzt einen Computer / Laptop und ein Smartphone
• Du hast keine (oder wenig) Erfahrung mit Arduinos oder Lillypad Microcontrollern.
