2is Digs into History! 🪏 ⚱️

Classes 2i and 2s recently took part in the annual Archaeology Workshop, led by Mr Nightingale from the University of Salzburg and several university students. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved: the university students experienced a bilingual history lesson, while the SALIS students learned directly from the archaeology team. Mr Nightingale and his students were especially impressed by the thoughtful questions, enthusiasm, and care shown by the SALIS students as they researched and interpreted their discoveries.

Last Friday, SALIS celebrated Europe Day with music, community, and a fantastic performance from our new orchestra! 🇪🇺✨

The performance brought students together for a really special moment in the Aula, and it was wonderful to see so many students sharing their talents and celebrating together. We are so proud of everyone involved and excited to see the orchestra continue to grow!

You can check out the performance below! 😊

What a way to wrap up IB Visual Arts 🎨

The final lesson was all about creativity, laughter, and just enjoying time together. From making pizzas to designing and painting their own t-shirts (and even a little trampoline action), it was the perfect send-off and a memory these students will carry with them.

A huge shoutout to Kavi Struber for creating such a fun, thoughtful, and genuinely special farewell. It was the perfect mix of art, community, and celebration 👏

Moments like these are what make SALIS so special 💙

Good luck to our Year 8 students as they begin their IB exams today, with the exam period continuing over the next three weeks!!

They have worked hard, shown real dedication, and come so far this year. Now it’s their time to shine. Taking each exam one step at a time, staying confident, and trusting in everything they’ve learned will take them far.

We are so proud of them and wish them the very best of luck! 🤞🏻😁 ✏️
