You may already know that you are not your story. And yet fear, shame, self-doubt, or the same old defensive patterns continue to arise.
Many people who have been drawn to satsang, self-inquiry, or awakening know this experience well.
They have tasted silence.
They have recognized moments of freedom.
And still, certain patterns continue to live on.
I'd like to share a simple inquiry practice with you.
The next time you feel triggered—by a conflict, a fear, or a strong emotion—pause for a moment and ask yourself:
**What am I trying to protect right now?**
Don't analyze it.
Don't look for the "right" answer.
Simply write down the very first response that appears.
Then ask again:
**What am I trying to protect right now?**
Again, write down the first thing that comes.
Continue for 5–10 minutes.
Very often, after a few minutes, it is no longer the story that is speaking. A deeper identification, an old wound, or a hidden belief begins to reveal itself.
And when the mind has settled a little, allow an even deeper question to arise:
**Who is trying to protect this?**
Don't try to answer intellectually.
Simply remain open.
This is no longer a question for the mind.
It is an invitation into the direct recognition of your true nature.
For me, this is what Leela Therapy is about.
It supports both personal healing and the recognition of Truth.
On the personal level, it can help relieve immediate suffering, uncover recurring patterns, support the integration of trauma and CPTSD, and strengthen healthy boundaries and a grounded sense of self.
At the same time, it goes beyond the personal story. Through self-inquiry, the identifications that maintain suffering gradually become transparent, revealing the silent presence that has always been here, untouched by every experience.
In my work I integrate the self-inquiry of Leela Therapy with an understanding of trauma and CPTSD, the Enneagram, recovery from narcissistic abuse, and body-based practices that support nervous system regulation, so that insight can become genuine transformation in everyday life.
If you feel called to this work, I warmly welcome you to an individual Leela Therapy session.
And if financial circumstances are difficult at the moment, but your intention is sincere, please don't hesitate to reach out anyway.
With love,
Adrienn
