Anton Bruckner International School is proud to announce a major milestone: we are now officially authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP).

This achievement marks the culmination of a purposeful and strategic journey that began two years ago. It reflects the dedication, resilience, and shared commitment of our entire school community- students, faculty, staff, parents, and our Board- whose collective efforts made this possible.

With the authorization of the Diploma Programme, Anton Bruckner International School is now an IB Continuum School, offering the full IB pathway. We are especially proud to be only the second school in Austria, outside of Vienna, to achieve this distinction.

This is far more than an institutional milestone. It is a powerful affirmation of our mission to provide a high-quality, student-centered international education that inspires curiosity, fosters academic excellence, and prepares young people to thrive in an interconnected world.

We celebrate this accomplishment with gratitude and excitement as we continue to grow, reflect, and innovate in service of our students and the wider community.

MYP 3A and 3B jumped into the world of improvisational theater during an action-packed three-hour workshop led by renowned improv artist Jim Libby. The room buzzed with energy as students turned theory into skill, guided by Jim’s decades of expertise.

A powerful reminder that when students are fully engaged, learning becomes an adventure!

This year, the school transformed into a true Winter Wonderland, glowing with sparkling lights, joyful laughter, and the warm spirit of giving. As part of the festive season, students and families once again supported the “Christmas in a Shoebox” initiative. Shoeboxes were filled with essential items: from warm clothing and hygiene products to small personal gifts that bring comfort and joy. Karin Raab, the director of Frauenhaus in Upper Austria, gratefully accepted the 115 donated boxes.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, Deputy Governor (LH-Stellvertreterin) Christine Haberlander and Vice Mayor Martin Hajart joined the celebrations, taking time to meet the students and express their appreciation for the school community’s commitment and generosity.

The magical day continued with a charming toy flea market organized by Kerstin Lechner, where children and adults gathered in cheerful holiday spirit. All proceeds supported the school, helping to purchase new books and improve the equipment of the chemistry lab.

Yesterday’s Thanksgiving dinner for MYP3 was a warm and wonderful tradition carried on once again. Huge thanks to all the parents and teachers who helped with the amazing food! Your generosity filled both our tables and our hearts. Wishing everyone a season filled with gratitude, warmth, and joy.

Our MYP students spent the day volunteering at the Cáritas sorting center in the industrial estate, lending a hand, sorting donations, and learning the power of community service in action. 💪💛
