Hey Ocean Lovers 💙

I'm very grateful for this post about my marine biology workshop in my hometown. It was a joy to teach these wonderful kids about the sea 🌊, its wonders, and how they can help protect our beautiful Planet Blue.

I'm looking forward to inspiring and educating more kids in landlocked Austria.

Ich freue mich sehr über diesen Beitrag zu meinem Meeresbiologie-Workshop in meiner Heimatgemeinde. Es war mir eine große Freude, diesen wunderbaren Kindern das Meer 🌊, seine faszinierenden Wunder und die Bedeutung seines Schutzes näherzubringen und ihnen zu zeigen, wie sie unseren blauen Planeten bewahren können.

DIVE into the OCEAN and be amazed by this discovery. For many years, scientists were puzzled by the discovery of grey seal bodies with spiraled wounds. It was often suggested that boat propellers, sharks, or other predators were responsible for these unusual injuries. Now, a scientific paper has confirmed that cannibalism is the true cause. Male grey seal bulls prey on younger males for their fatty blubber, leaving behind this very distinctive spiral-shaped signature.
