Exhibition of exotic puppets and traditional puppet theatre, Museumscenter
November 19 - January 14, Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 - 17:00

Christkindlmarkt main square
Opening on Nov. 25, open each day from 10 - 19:00 ( Sunday till 13:00). There will be live music each day at 17:00, on Dec 9 there will be Okemah, worth listening.

Adventmarkt in Stift Göss
On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th from 16:00 to 19:00
It is a very charming Adventmarket.

a very taditional event, gruelsome masks, a little bit like Halloween, but typical Austrian

Dec 4, Stadtpfarrkirche (near farmer's market), church mass in the mining tradition

Mettenschicht
Dec 4, theatre in Homanngasse (entry is free donation) a very typical event, celebrated in all mining areas in Europe, formal dress code

Krampus und Nikolaus
usually on main square on Dec 5 when it is getting dark. Krampus is the evil Austrian counterpart of St. Niklas

Café International Africa
Dec 17 in Café Mitt'n Drin, Peter Tunnerstraße 4
African students entertain and prepare traditional food, adequate donations are expected (at least 3 €), depending on how much you consume

In January and February when it is really freezing cold you can also go "Eisstockschießen" (Austrian kind of curling), for example at Gasthaus Schager in Schladnitzgraben.

Who wants to be on TV?
On Monday May 23 at 8 am the national Austrian TV station ORF will be on main square and wants to meet as many international students as possible. It will be broadcasted live all over Austria. So if you have got time please come and tell other international students. It would also be great if you could also bring or paint a flag of your home country and even greater if you could also bring a traditional breakfast like you eat it in your homecountry. This will also be shown. I will be in front of Erika Augustins house, Hauptplatz 8 at 8 am. Let us show Austria, how international Austria is I hope for your support.

Please note that on Monday there is a national holiday and all shops and banks will be closed. There will also be no lectures.

On May 20 there will be the Festival of Nations of Leoben's International students on main square. from 2 - 8pm. Come visit us and enjoy international musig groups and dancers and enjoy international food against a donation.
