From Grassroots to Global
Local Practices and Planetary Perspectives of Global Citizenship Education
Over three years, dialogue groups from the Global South and North collaborated in a transnational »Global Campus Online,« a laboratory uniting scientists with activists from arts, culture, and civil society. Together, they developed practical, small-scale projects addressing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This volume presents initiatives with disadvantaged communities, including Roma in
Hungary, marginalized women in South Africa, and Guaraní in South America. The contributions promote climate justice, inclusive cities, and empowering education for all ages. A concise exploration of Global Citizenship Education from the grassroots,
highlighting how local action and global exchange can drive sustainable change.

3RD EDITION U.Y.E.T.S IS FINALLY HERE!

For far too long, the narrative around climate change and environmental degradation has been limited to boardroom discussions and theoretical debates. But the crisis waiting outside our doors doesn’t need more theories, it needs impact.

Today, THE IDEAL PLANET (TIP) is thrilled to officially launch the 3rd Edition of the Universities Youth Environmental Talk Show!

From May 22nd to 24th, 2026, we are bringing together the brightest minds from three powerhouse institutions across borders to confront real, localized environmental crises head-on:

Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) - 2019 👉 Focus: Illegal Dumping and Waste Management in the City of Windhoek

The University of Bamenda 👉 Focus: Flood Management and Prevention in Bamenda

The University of Buea👉 Focus: Waste Management Challenges in the City of Buea

Beyond the Screen: Phase 1 & Phase 2
This is not just another webinar. This is a launchpad. We are dividing this movement into two non-negotiable phases:

PHASE 1: The Strategic Blueprint (May 22-24)
Guided by expert academic facilitators—Ms. Clarence Ntesa, Dr. Eileen Tabuwe Akwo, and Dr. Amos Fang Zeh, student teams will pitch concrete, resource-free, and practical solutions to these pressing environmental threats. No fluff, just strategy.

PHASE 2: The Implementation (The Real Test)
We are drawing a line in the sand. We don't just want youth who talk; we need a generation that ACTS.

Following the talk show, these student leaders will transition from the Google Meet room straight into the field. Phase 2 is all about youth-led, grassroots implementation, turning proposed blueprints into tangible, realistic community impact.
