Global Peace Studies for Sustainable Development

On 23 September 2026, the Global Peace Studies for Sustainable Development series will host an online session on “Gen Z and Electioneering Processes in Kenya.”

The session will be led by Dr. Susan Waiyego Mwangi, Kenyatta University, Nairobi, whose research and academic work focuses on governance, security, electoral justice, peacebuilding and political studies.

The event is organised by Solidarity for Peace and Development (MAMA) and forms part of its international series of academic and professional conferences on peace research, peace education, peace activism and sustainable development.

🌍 Exploring Intercultural Competences in an African Context

We are pleased to share the upcoming 3rd Annual Conference of the UNESCO Chair on Intercultural Competences, taking place from 12–16 October 2026 in Dakar, Senegal, hosted at Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD).

The conference will bring together researchers, educators, practitioners, and students from around the world to exchange perspectives on intercultural competence and its role in addressing global and regional challenges.

Topics will include intercultural competence in relation to peacebuilding, gender equality, climate action, education, cultural diversity, and African youth perspectives.
