We congratulate Antonia Hackl to successfully defending her Master thesis!
Antonia investigated postural control through analyzing principal movements. Her results show that the minimum intervention principle is not a governing principle for motor control when boundary conditions change. She also investigated adaptation in a timed static stance test. Here her results are in line with predictions derived from a new perspective on the state estimator concept, which is part of the optimal feedback control theory OFCT.

We congratulate Robin Mayr for successfully defending his Master thesis! 👏👨🎓
Robin conducted his thesis in a clinical gait lab in hospital in Switzerland. He investigated how two different foot orthoses alter gait characteristics of children with cerebral palsy.

We congratulate Florian Röhrl for successfully defending his Master thesis! 👨🎓👏
Florian investigated a new mountain bike saddle designed to reduce back pain. He did in fact find reduced back pain in field tests. Within the lab, differences to a standard saddle in kinematics and EMG were relatively small, but did allow for some hypotheses on the underlying mechanism.
