RACE ACROSS AMERICA – 5.000 Kilometer nonstop durch die USA

Wir möchten euch herzlich zum Vortrag von Kurt Matzler einladen!

Im Juni 2022 hat Kurt Matzler das längste und härteste Radrennen der Welt bestritten. In 11 Tagen, 6 Stunden und 45 Minuten bewältigte er die 4.880 Kilometer und über 30.000 Höhenmeter quer durch die USA. In diesem Vortrag spricht er über die mentalen Herausforderungen und körperlichen Strapazen: bei fast 50 Grad durch die Wüste, bei eiskalten Temperaturen und Regen in den Rocky Mountains, durch einen Hurricane, ewig lange Geraden in den Great Plains, technische Pannen, Schlafentzug, unerträgliche Schmerzen, Höhen und Tiefen. Mit seinem Team Rotary Raams Polio hat Kurt Matzler nicht nur den 6. Platz bei diesem brutalen Radrennen erreicht, sondern auch über eine Million Dollar an Spenden zur Ausrottung der Kinderlähmung gesammelt.

Conference news!

Last week, the British Academy of Management (BAM) Conference 2022 on "Reimagining business and management as a force for good" took place. The conference was hosted by the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK.

Sebastian Gauster and Noah Bellwald presented their research article "From CEO Personality to Business Model Innovation: Management Innovation is Key". Together with Thomas Maran, Kurt Matzler, Alexander Fust, and Timo Müller, they investigated the influence of CEO traits on a firm’s strategic direction and innovation behavior. The authors were part of the Leadership and Leadership Development track.
