MCI Tourismus-Jubiläumsjahrgänge wieder vereint 🤩

Das MCI Tourismus lud kürzlich jene Jubiläumsjahrgänge zur traditionellen Jubiläumsveranstaltung ein, welche vor 20, 15, 10 bzw. 5 Jahren ihr Studium abgeschlossen haben. Dieser Einladung folgten heuer über 80 Alumni und Alumnae.

Nach der Begrüßung durch Hubert Siller, berichtete dieser über aktuelle Entwicklungen am MCI Tourismus und lobte die ausgezeichnete Zusammenarbeit mit den MCI Absolventinnen und Absolventen im Rahmen von Exkursionen, Forschungsprojekten sowie in der Lehre. Es folgten einige Anekdoten über und von den Absolventinnen und Absolventen.

Liebe Absolventinnen und Absolventen: Es war uns eine Freude, Euch beim MCI Tourismus Jubiläumstreffen begrüßen zu dürfen und mit Euch anzustoßen!

🏆 Tirol Touristica Nachwuchspreis geht an MCI Tourismus Studierenden!

Im Rahmen des Tiroler Tourismusforums im Congresspark Igls wurde gestern bereits zum 3. Mal der heiß begehrte Tirol Touristica Nachwuchspreis der Tirol Werbung für innovative Ideen verliehen.

Der Masterstudierende Johann Leopold Bahr konnte mit seiner Konzeptidee „Dark Sky Tirol“ auf ganzer Linie überzeugen und sich den begehrten Award sowie den Scheck der Hypo Tirol Bank im Wert von 2.000 Euro sichern.

Ebenfalls nominiert für den Preis war die MCI Tourismusstudierende Madeleine Baruk mit ihrer Idee "AlpBox Tirol", welche die Genusswelten Tirols direkt zu den Gästen in ihre Unterkunft oder nach Hause bringt.

Wir gratulieren zu diesen tollen Ideen und zum Gewinn des Tirol Touristica Nachwuchspreises!

Voller Spannung wurde gestern Abend der "Alps Future Award" im Rahmen des Alpenklimagipfels verliehen.

OLM Nature Escape – das bahnbrechende, nahezu energieautarke Eco-Aparthotel im Südtiroler Ahrntal konnte die Jury, unter dem Vorsitz von Hubert Siller, überzeugen und sich aus zahlreichen Einreichungen aus dem gesamten Alpenraum durchsetzen.

Wir gratulieren dem diesjährigen Gewinner und sind stolz darauf, den nachhaltigen Wandel im Alpenraum wissenschaftlich zu begleiten und aktiv mitzugestalten!

Unter diesem starken Motto steht der 3. Alpenklimagipfel auf der Zugspitze – und wir vom MCI Tourismus sind mittendrin! Zwei Tage lang dreht sich alles um den intensiven Austausch zwischen Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Tourismus, um praxisnahe Lösungen für unseren alpinen Lebensraum zu finden.

This week, we had the pleasure of honoring Perry Hobson (Bond University) and Ady Milman (University of Central Florida) for an outstanding 20 years of dedicated teaching at MCI Tourism.

For two decades, they have inspired our students with their incredible knowledge, great professionalism and passion for teaching. Beyond the classroom, they have been a huge support in driving our international connection and helping us shape unforgettable international study trips.

A big thank you to Perry and Ady for the amazing impact you’ve made over the last 20 years. We are so glad to have you in the MCI community!

Today, we proudly celebrate and honor our external lecturer Kaye Chon from Hongkong Polytechnic University for 21 years of dedicated teaching and valued contribution to MCI Tourism at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®.

For more than two decades, he has inspired students through his knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to academic excellence. Furthermore he is an excellent partner who supports our international study trips whenever a stopover in Hong Kong is planned.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 20 students from ITS ACADEMY TURISMO VENETO (Belluno campus), who are on a study trip in Tyrol. Janosch Untersteiner and Birgit Bosio from the MCI Tourism Team provided them with an insight into Tourism Development in Tyrol and the Tyrolean Sustainable Tourism Observatory (TYSTO).
