🌏✨ We had a cultural exchange class with junior high school students in Kyoto through a hybrid online & in-person style!
Japanese learners from around the world introduced their countries through fun quizzes in Japanese 🌎
It was a beautiful time of connecting beyond language, sharing cultures, and learning from each other.
Using a language you’ve learned to communicate with new people takes courage — and their passion inspired the students in Japan too 🌱

Global cafe for April!
日本語
4月は、みんなで俳句を英語と日本語で書いたり、海外で人気の昭和ソングをグループに分かれて英語訳するアクティビティを行いました！
俳句も歌詞の翻訳も、日本人にとっても難しい挑戦でしたが、お互いに英語表現を学び合いながら楽しく取り組むことができました✨

In April, we enjoyed activities where everyone wrote haiku in both English and Japanese, and worked in groups to translate popular Showa-era Japanese songs into English!
Both haiku and song translation were challenging even for Japanese people, but it was a great opportunity to learn new English expressions from each other and have fun together ✨

We talked in English about New Year’s resolutions and Japanese New Year traditions.
日本語を勉強している外国人留学生も、知らないことをたくさん学べました。
Even international students studying Japanese discovered many new things.
お互いにとって、とても良い学びの時間になりました。
