🎻 Meet Our Faculty — Dominika Falger 🇵🇱🇦🇹

Few artists combine orchestral leadership, solo performance, and pedagogy at such a high level as Dominika Falger. We are proud to welcome her back to the faculty of the Kulturwelten Summer Academy 2026 in Vienna.

She represents a unique artistic profile shaped by the Polish violin tradition and the Viennese school, refined through studies with Edward Zienkowski, Yair Kless, and Jan Pospichal.

As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and appeared across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Since 1999, she has held the position of Principal Second Violin with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and is also a dedicated chamber musician with the Glière String Quartet.

Alongside her international performing career, she is a Professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG) and at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK). She regularly gives masterclasses and serves on international competition juries.

At the Summer Academy, she brings deep artistic insight, technical precision, and decades of orchestral and solo experience to the next generation of violinists.

🎙️ Meet Our Faculty — Elena Copons 🇪🇸

We are delighted to welcome internationally acclaimed soprano Elena Copons to the vocal faculty of the Kulturwelten Summer Academy 2026.

A regular guest at renowned venues including the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro Real, Wiener Musikverein and Wiener Konzerthaus, Elena Copons has established herself as one of the most versatile and compelling voices on today's international stage.

Her artistic career spans opera, concert repertoire and Lieder, with performances across Europe, Asia and South America. Alongside her performing career, she is Professor of Voice at the Joseph Haydn Privathochschule and is highly regarded for her work with emerging singers.

At the Summer Academy, participants will benefit from her expertise in vocal technique, stylistic interpretation, musical expression and stage presence—essential skills for today's professional vocalist.

The Kulturwelten Summer Academy 2026 is proud to welcome internationally acclaimed soprano Akiko Nakajima to our vocal faculty in Vienna.

From her award-winning breakthrough at the Australian Singing Competition to performances at the Musikverein Vienna, Wigmore Hall, Teatro di San Carlo, Vienna Volksoper and Walt Disney Hall, Akiko Nakajima has built an extraordinary international career across opera and concert stages worldwide.

She has collaborated with legendary conductors including Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta and Herbert Blomstedt, and today continues to inspire the next generation as professor at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.
