🎶 Featuring , sessions and a master class for composition, the outHEAR New Music Week offers aspiring the opportunity to work on their new pieces and to gain insights into and techniques. Together with ensemble members of Klangforum Wien and students of PPCM - Kunstuni Graz they can directly bring their new pieces to life and present them in two on 19 & 21 April in Thessaloniki.

This year’s edition under the title 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 also includes two new categories: 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘯 and 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘴. The faculty for composition consists of Mark Andre, Annesley Black, Dimitri Papageorgiou - composer, Orestis Toufektsis, and Winfried Ritsch (Piano Automaton, Iem Kunstuni Graz).

🥁 Olivier Messiaen’s monumental composition 𝘋𝘦𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘶𝘹 𝘦́𝘵𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴 will be performed by the ensemble on 16 January at our fourth season concert at the Wiener Konzerthaus. The special thing about it: You can not only experience KLANGFORUM WIEN ORCHESTRA in Vienna for the first time and hear impressive solos for horn, piano and percussion, but also choose your seat at the Great Hall yourself ( here we go)!

🎶 As an enlarged formation featuring former and current students of the study programme at Kunstuniversität Graz, KLANGFORUM WIEN ORCHESTRA brings to the stage large orchestral works of music, including them in its own history of interpretation.

On Sunday our PPCM students have the wonderful opportunity to sing in this masterclass with composer at the Vienna Kammeroper, as part of a collaboration between and . 🤩

Preparations are in full swing and we can‘t wait to dive deeper into Kampe‘s ‚Schwarze Lieder‘ and ‚Winzige Lieder‘ with the composer himself!

What a joy it was to collaborate with so many students AND professors of many different departments of Kunstuni Graz KUG for this magical edition of KUG’s “Seite an Seite” concert series where students and professors join forces on stage. ✨
