Before we started with our pitch session, we had a very special guest with us: Jernej Dekleva of 360 lab!
He spoke about the "10 traps 90% of all founders step into" and how to overcome then. Being aware of them is already a good start :) Thanks for joining us ♥

We would like to thank our great jury for their engagement, feedback and support at our final pitch event: Alan Zettelmann, Alicia Reynolds of Creators Expedition, Hannes Meixner of Raiffeisen Steiermark and Nina Rigg of 360 lab ♥
Every single team now knows exactly what was great already and what needs more work. What we could see is that the students definitely know how to present: all of them did an amazing job on their pitches and Powerpoint design. Room for improvement for all teams was the pivoting, which did of course lack due to the pandemic to a certain degree. This is definitely on our "To plan better" list for the next cohort!

[SNEAK PEEK] Just in case you wondered how we managed to make an actual offline event happen: One table per person, keeping distance, hygiene measures, desinfecting all surfaces, laptops and wireless presenters, masks when distance can not be kept.
It was different, but did not lack any of the motivational and inspirational atmosphere we hoped to achieve!

🤯 We cannot believe that this semester is nearly over! The good thing about that is that there is always a cool event waiting around the corner to celebrate all the accomplishments! In our case it is the final pitch event next tuesday - not only will it be the first time we meet in person again with all participants and partners, we first and foremost will see our 3 teams pitching their business model!
>> So excited about the opinions and feedback from the jury consisting of experts from the fields finance, marketing, innovation and business development

In a past lecture we discussed Trendscouting and Market Research and the impact it has on our business models. Do you regularly check on trends and small movements, on the customer's as well as industry side? 🧐
Thanks to ITONICS for letting us check out your valuable software solution for this! 💪🤩⠀⠀⠀

🌎 Today is - we took the Quiz and we have to admit: this is shocking! So many unexpected, high numbers!
Luckily there are also startups putting their efforts in making a positive impact in this topic! May it be food waste reduction (food waste causes a range of adverse environmental impacts, like reduced biodiversity and increased methane emissions), wastewater treatment, meat from the laboratory or consultance in how to improve the individual impact with housing/energy usage etc.
What is your favourite ?
Friday is .
Test your knowledge on biodiversity and learn more about the intricate services nature provides us.

As Bill Aulit put it: a successful entrepreneur has the mindset of a pirate but the skills of a navy seal ❗️
Happy humpday everyone 🚀

🤩VALUE AND GROWTH🚀
This week we had a deeper look into essential parts of a business plan, what investors are looking for, what types of investors there are and which questions they are typically asking. If you're at the beginning of creating a business plan for your idea, you should create and test your value hypothesis to make sure that it has a potential. It helps finding out what your potential customers actually value most and how you can even better serve their needs. The growth hypothesis deals with the way potential new customers will find out about your product or service. This is also something you should test. We have learned that this is the basis for further areas that need to be covered in a business plan, like financial plannings💸! Thanks to our partner for this great input!
