Welcome to Project RAINBOW Women’s participation in the labor market is not only an economic issue but also a larger social and an ethical question, which demands a multi-disciplinary approach. Women’s economic activity is rooted mainly in socio-cultural, historical, physiological and economic considerations.

The second day of the Transnational Partner Meeting was really insightful and powerful. We visited a women NGO specializes in handcraft based on . They are the perfect example of role for other women.

👏 A Rainbow participant Anna-Maija Lämsä from Finland and her colleagues Raminta Pucetaite and Marija Norvaisaite from Lithuania won an international Vilis Vitols Prize to Best Journal of Baltic Studies Articles for 2020.

👉 One factor that affects women's careers is the work-family relationship. Especially how fathers are involved in family responsibilities is a crucial issue to mothers' careers. In many societies traditional masculinity in flux posing care-related expectations and challenges to men.

Our dear partners Anna-Maija Lämsä and Suvi Heikkinen presented project activities and deliverables within the Ethos research group Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics this month.

📍On April 26th -27th, the project meeting was successfully held in Seville, Spain. A significant focus was placed on the operation and impact of RAINBOW Centers in India. Furthermore, the consortium discussed financial topics, dissemination, interregional exchange as well as the evaluation & quality assurance plan.

Our INCOMA partners, who hosted the meeting, did their best to make everyone feel like at home in the beautiful city! A big thank you!

👋 It's our great pleasure to announce that the project partners will have the opportunity to meet face to face as part of a two-day meeting in Seville next week.
