🎉 Congratulations to our Giveaway Winners! 🎉

In celebration of the book launch "When the Akule Return" and in honor of Teacher Wellness Week, I’m so happy to recognize these six incredible educators:

💛 Finiana JT Fini
💛 Mina Fairholt
💛 Emmanuel Iuma Loia
💛 Elena Mao
💛 Faamao Sila
💛 Sai Tuia Solia

Feel free to tag them so they start their morning with good news!

I triple-checked each entry to ensure fairness — making sure posts were public, shared, and tagged properly — and these six educators met all the entry requirements. Their shared stories of place-based learning are deeply inspiring, and I’m grateful to have read just a glimpse of the amazing work they do in the classroom.

🎁 Prize Pickup Options:
📍 Today (Wednesday) from 5–7 PM at the ASG DSM Forum – Lee Auditorium (Finafinau booth)
📍 Monday, August 11 from 8 AM–2 PM at the American Samoa Resilience Office, Paramount Building (2nd floor, above Turtle & Shark Gift Shop in Tafuna)

P.S. To clarify: yes, this was in connection to a new book launch — but this giveaway is a donation, not a promotion. No profits are made here. In fact, it’s the opposite — I’m giving away money and books because I genuinely wanted to honor our teachers. Despite any concerns about where and when (which was 7:30 am and then scheduled at a later time) the video was filmed, the heart of this is simple: gratitude and recognition for educators who deserve it. ❤️

✨ In celebration of my newest book "When the Akule Return" and in honor of Teacher Wellness Week, I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of a traditional book launch, I’m choosing to give back to the people who shape the hearts and minds of our children every day — our teachers.

From today (7/31) until Monday, August 4th at 4 PM SST, teachers from American Samoa (Tutuila, Manu'a and Aunu'u) can enter to win:

💛 $100
📖 5 books of your choice from my collection to use in your classroom

*Watch the video to learn how to enter the draw!*

This is just a small gesture of appreciation — from one educator to another — for all the unseen labor, love, and leadership you pour into our children and communities.

🎁 Winners can pick up their gifts:
📍 Wednesday 8/6 from 5–7 PM at the ASG DSM Forum – Lee Auditorium (Finafinau booth)
or
📍 Monday 8/11 from 8 AM–2 PM at the American Samoa Resilience Office, Paramount Building (2nd floor above the Turtle & Shark gift shop in Tafuna)

Tag a teacher, share the love, and thank you for everything you do. 💛

Also, for all teacher entries please make sure your post is open to the public so I can read your amazing work :)
