Today, we take a moment to celebrate and thank someone who has faithfully poured her time, talents, and heart into the students of Samoa Baptist Academy.

For over a year, Ms. Angelica Geli Soliai has generously served our school community in countless ways. Whether teaching Science, guiding students through Mathematics, sharing her gifts in Music, or stepping in wherever there was a need, she has always answered the call to serve with a willing heart. No task was too small, no challenge too great. Time and again, she offered her knowledge, expertise, encouragement, and unwavering support to both students and staff.

Many of our favorite memories and moments have been captured because of her dedication behind the scenes. In fact, Ms. Angelica is rarely seen in photographs because she is usually the one taking them. Yet her fingerprints can be found throughout so many of SBA's cherished memories.

Pictured above with our SLA and NJHS presidents, Ms. Angelica has also volunteered her time as a mentor on numerous occasions, investing in young leaders and encouraging them to grow in character, confidence, and service. The bonds she has built with our students are genuine and lasting.

Among those relationships, the connection she developed with the HMRM students (7th) is one that will always be uniquely treasured. While goodbyes are never easy, and this season of parting is certainly bittersweet, the journey they shared together will forever hold a special place in their hearts. The laughter, lessons, encouragement, and memories created along the way are gifts that time can never take away. She was once a student here, God brought back to serve, and now the journey continues.

Ms. Angelica, thank you for your faithful service to SBA and for the countless lives you have touched. Thank you for showing up, stepping in, and giving so much of yourself to our students. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom walls, and your investment in our school community will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

As you step into this next chapter, know that you leave with our deepest gratitude, respect, and love. We are proud of you, grateful for you, and humbled by the example of service you have set before us. Wherever God leads you next, know that your SBA family will always be cheering you on from afar. You will remain in our prayers, and we look forward to seeing how God continues to use your gifts for His glory.

Now go and SHINE BRIGHT!
May His light shine radiantly through you and in all that you do. May you continue to be a blessing to everyone you meet, just as you have been a blessing to us.

👫My BIG brother and sister!

“How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

Today, we were blessed to witness something truly special as our students continued building meaningful relationships through our Big Brother & Big Sister initiative . During our 9/11 tribute ceremony, little brothers and sisters proudly sat alongside their big brothers and sisters, holding hands during prayer, sharing a moment of remembrance together.

After the tribute of Patriot's Day, they enjoyed a short break to connect, laugh, and spend time with one another before heading back to class, of course, not before exchanging at least two hugs for good measure! And Hi-Fives to set the vibe of the day 😊

There is something powerful about brotherhood and sisterhood. Through these relationships, our students are learning the importance of kindness, leadership, encouragement, and belonging. They are creating connections that strengthen our school family and leave lasting impressions on young hearts.

Stay tuned, I hear there may be a lunch session and outdoor activity together for each of their groups next week!

We praise the Lord for these precious opportunities to nurture meaningful relationships and plant roots that will continue to grow for years to come. 💙

🇺🇸 America, We Remember 🇺🇸

“We Remember. We Will Never Forget.”

Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced one of the darkest days in American history. The events of September 11, 2001, brought unimaginable heartbreak, sorrow, and loss to thousands of families and forever changed the course of our nation.

Yet, as the sun rose on the morning after tragedy, its rays shone upon a country united in a way the world had never seen before. In the face of grief, America stood together. Communities gathered in prayer. Strangers became neighbors. Hope rose from the ashes through courage, compassion, faith, and an unwavering commitment to one another.

Today, Samoa Baptist Academy paused to remember this significant moment—not only in American history, but also in our history as an American territory. We took time to reflect on the sacrifices made that day and the sacrifices that continue to be made every day by those who serve and protect our communities.

We honor and thank our firefighters, EMTs, TSA officers, police officers, members of Homeland Security, medical professionals, and all military personnel, active duty, reserve, retired, and veterans near and far.We also remember every individual and family who suffered loss as a result of the events of September 11 and the years that followed.

As a school family, we extend our deepest gratitude and say:

"Thank you for your service to your community, for God and country. God bless you always."

This morning, prayers were offered by 7th graders Adrielle Tuaua and Iona Uiagalelei, followed by a moment of reflection. Vaoita Savali concluded our tribute with a final blessing. Principal Ruth Tuato'o reminded us why we stop to honor others and emphasized the importance of expressing our gratitude and love to those closest to us. She encouraged students to never take for granted the opportunities they have to say “thank you” and “I love you” to their parents, families, and loved ones.

As we remember the lives lost, we also remember the strength displayed, the heroes who answered the call, and the unity that carried our nation forward.

America, we remember.

To all who serve and sacrifice, thank you.

💙 SBA INAUGURATION DAY 2026💙

Today was a special day at Samoa Baptist Academy as we gathered for our Wednesday Chapel and officially welcomed a new season of student leadership.

We were blessed through a time of praise and worship led by Mr. Loia and Mrs. Sopaima Tavete , followed by a beautiful song of gratitude presented by our 6th Grade Class. Pastor Sovea then challenged our hearts through God's Word, reminding us of our purpose and calling in Christ.

Following Chapel, the newly elected officers of the Student Leadership Alliance (SLA) were announced by class. We were encouraged by NJHS President Joella Ioane, who challenged our student leaders to remember that true leadership is found in service, humility, and putting others before ourselves. She then led the officers in their official SLA Pledge.

After the pledge, Mrs. Tavete offered a special prayer of dedication over our student leaders while the Middle School students stretched forth their hands in agreement, asking God to guide, strengthen, and use them throughout the year.

As we embrace our 2026-2027 theme, "I AM Who God Says I Am," Principal Ms. Ruth Tuato'o congratulated the newly elected officers and challenged them to live out the words they had just pledged. She reminded them that leadership is not about titles, recognition, or position.

"What you have been given is not a title, it is a platform. What will you do with the platform God has entrusted to you?"

This challenge perfectly reflects our theme verse:
"For we are His workmanship, creatted in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

It also reminds us that we were intentionally created by God for a purpose. Our identity is not found in what the world says about us, but in who God says we are. Because we belong to Him, we are called to use our gifts, talents, influence, and opportunities to serve others and bring glory to Christ.

As we move forward in this Year of I AM , may every student remember:

✨ I am created with purpose.✨I am capable I am who God says I am.
