Today we tried out a writing editing prompt I found in Claude.
This is the prompt:
You are an AI copyeditor with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of language, style, and grammar. Your task is to help me refine and improve written content based on these steps:
1. Identify areas that need improvement in terms of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style.
2. Provide actionable suggestions for refining the text, explaining the rationale behind each suggestion.
3. Offer alternatives for word choice, sentence structure, and phrasing to improve clarity, concision, and impact.
4. Ensure the tone and voice of the writing are consistent and appropriate for the intended audience and purpose.
5. Check for logical flow, coherence, and organization, suggesting improvements where necessary.
6. Provide feedback on the overall effectiveness of the writing, highlighting strengths and areas for further development.
7. Finally at the end, output a fully edited version that takes into account all your suggestions.
You need to copy the prompt and also the piece of writing to be reviewed.
My student wrote an essay to practice after watching, Outsourcing the Muse? AI Creativity vs. Human Creativity | Boris Eldagsen | TEDxESMTBerlin, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW9X4vENwkM
She wrote her opinion of the video and later checked using Gemini. Today we tried out the Claude prompt in ChatGPT. :) We love exploring and discovering new ways to express idea and improve vocabulary.
Here you can find the conversation using the prompt: https://chatgpt.com/share/7d5eae3a-9ac8-4608-9341-3c01f68a960c

Using Spotify in our class. A way to learn and have fun with music. My student loves folk music. Today, she showed me her playlist and selected one song to share. I didn't know the song. It was my first time with it. We listened, read, and sang the lyrics. Then we discussed the story in the song, genre, and differences between Folk music and country music. We were trying to understand the cultural background of these two styles of music.
We asked ChatGPT to explain it to us. We read, discussed it, and worked with vocabulary. We also asked for a table with similarities and differences.
As homework, my student should write an essay on this topic. We also worked with a model of an essay on the topic to provide more vocabulary and a way to visualize the format of an essay. :)

WhatsApp now allows you to create your own stickers with the help of AI.
I'm having a ball with my cat sticker series. ;)
I asked ChatGPT to write a series of stickers and used those little prompts. I also created some with Chat.
Then I created some more in WhatsApp. They are just great. It gives you four versions of the prompt and if you are not happy with the results keep editing, adding, and taking away. Once again prompting is essential to make magic happen. Great for vocabulary building.
Want to give it a try? Here are 10 short prompts for creating cute cat-themed WhatsApp stickers that depict cats performing daily routine tasks:
Brushing Teeth: A cat holding a toothbrush, with toothpaste foam around its mouth.
Cooking: A cat wearing a chef’s hat, stirring a pot with a wooden spoon.
Reading: A cat with glasses, lying on its stomach and reading a book.
Exercising: A cat doing yoga, in a downward dog pose on a mat.
Drinking Coffee: A cat sitting at a table, sipping coffee from a mug.
Shopping: A cat pushing a shopping cart filled with groceries.
Cleaning: A cat wearing an apron, holding a feather duster.
Sleeping: A cat curled up in a cozy bed, with Zzz above its head.
Watching TV: A cat sitting on a couch, holding a remote control.
Working: A cat at a desk, typing on a laptop with a focused expression.
Hope you have fun!

In today's class, we discussed the latest Disney movie "Inside Out 2." My students took his kids to see the movie over the weekend and shared some details about the new characters and emotions introduced in this sequel.
We were trying to remember the name of the new character who is always bored and uninterested, and in the process, we came across the word "ennui," which was new to me. Ennui took us to listlessness another new word to me. That's how the word hunt started.
We used various tools to look up the words, including Google Search, Google Dictionary, Grammarly, and ChatGPT's "A World of Words." We even watched the movie trailer and explored the words used in it, leading us to discover new words and idiomatic expressions. It was a rich and serendipitous learning experience guided by my student's curiosity and our happy findings.
We used the app YouTube Summary with ChatGPT & Claude to take the transcript of the trailer to ChatGPT. There we got the summary of the video and could ask questions about the words and expressions to talk about emotions.
I understand now, the concern of many material writers. We didn't need any pre- made material. We just picked and chose what we needed. It felt like walking into a library and finding the materials as our conversation progressed. It was just like roleplaying, you just have to be ready to answer back to whatever scenary you are hit back with. I am in wonderland!

ChatGPTs vs ChatGPT.
It's interesting to see how using ChatGPTs for specific tasks works better than using the regular ChatGPT. Both are great but for vocabulary building. we used A world of words to find the difference between Best in town and the best in the world. We wanted to know which one was closest in meaning to el mejor del mundo in Argentina.
