Cape Town, Italy, Texas, Socotra and now… Patagonia 🏔️This marks our fifth trip bringing our first-place winner along for a wild adventure. This time we brought to join on a job with . We’re just weeks away from launching our My Year 2025 Contest and we can’t wait to see who will be joining us on the next adventure.

Meet .v, one of our KC students from Russia. During Sam’s latest project in Dubai with Stefanos Tsisipas, Vladimir was hired to shoot BTS and organize gear, such as the Freefly Ember S5K and Solidcom headsets for the team. Whenever we need support on projects, we know we can rely on our KC community ⚡️

We’re excited to announce the winners of the 5th Annual My Year Contest.

This year’s theme was “The Story Only You Can Tell”—and you showed up with stories that were raw, real, and uniquely yours.

We received 44 entries from filmmakers all over the world. Each one brought a personal perspective. Some told stories of adventure. Others captured the quiet, meaningful moments. And every single one reminded us why storytelling matters.

The level of creativity this year was incredible. In fact, the entries were so strong, we decided to add a 7th winner.

BTS from Sam’s latest collaboration with Stefanos Tsitsipas 🎥

In December, Sam came together with Stefanos in Dubai to create a unique concept together - experimenting with gear like the new super slow-mo camera Freefly Ember S5K, and the Pyxis 6K. KC member .v was also brought on to capture BTS. We’re always looking for ways to get our members involved in projects and Vladimir was an epic addition to the team.
