ADJECTIVE STRUCTURES.
Hello everyone!
Today, let's look at a few really useful adjective structures.

We can follow some adjectives with ‘to + infinitive’. It often explains why we are happy or sad or pleased, etc.

I was pleased to be home.
He was sorry to miss the wedding.

We often use the structure ‘it + be + adjective + to + infinitive’.

It is lovely to see you.
It was difficult to understand the lesson.

We can follow some adjectives with ‘(that) + clause’. We can use ‘that + clause’ to change the subject.

I was pleased that he was home.
He was sorry that you missed the wedding.
​

Some adjectives need to have certain prepositions.

Worried + about: She is worried about money.
Proud + of: He is proud of his daughter.

Change the sentences so they include 'adjective + to + infinitive'. For example: I saw Julie and I was surprised -> I was surprised to see Julie.
