After many years (more than 40) in the classroom, I’m still learning , when I attend seminars /congresses and in class, from my students.🙋🏻‍♀️🙋‍♂️🧑‍🏫👩‍⚖️👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

This year, applied drama, sustainability topics and social - emotional work reminded me that education is RELATIONAL, EMBODIED, and DEEPLY HUMAN.

My students taught me the power of a smile, a game, a question. They taught me the importance of stopping the explanation of content to listen to their queries,fears and worries.

ALBERDI, EL MUSICAL. Una obra impecable que despierta la más pura argentinidad.🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

No soy crítica de teatro .Si ex actriz ,escritora y directora teatral .Por eso, cuando tengo el placer de ver una obra que vale la pena, lo comento. Y ésta es impactante!💯💯

Cuando supe de este elenco en la presentación de Hamilton en el Showcase los empecé a seguir porque me maravilló la idea de tener una obra que hablara de nuestros próceres argentinos.

Y no me decepcionó. Al contrario. Impecable narrativa, voces maravillosas , actuación convincente (difícil en teatro musical, donde siempre sobresale el canto ), vestuario, luces...Todo!💥💥

Lo que destaco es esa pasión, convicción y alegría que transmitían cada uno en el escenario. Pocas veces vi esa vibra de felicidad donde el cast (de Bs As, pero con el agregado de actores de Rosario también) se notaba rebozante ,no sólo de talento , sino también de orgullo por lo que estaban contando. Y eso se transmitía al público.❤❤❤

Palabras especiales para el plantel masculino (excelentes!) Y ALBERDI.Pablo Flores Torri. Actor principal y director. Qué energía! Qué fuerza! Rompía la cuarta pared cuando miraba al público y le hablaba como un gran prócer . Daban ganas de subirse a luchar con ellos. Impresionante!!!!‼️‼️

Deseo de corazón que vuelvan a Rosario y que los que se la perdieron puedan ver esta maravillosa obra. Vi Hamilton y me emocionó. Ver ALBERDI me atravesó el alma y mi ser argentino. 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

Is it hard for your students to remember -and USE- a variety of expressions to express opinion, (dis)agreement , negotiation, etc?🤔

Well, my students know the phrases but, when confronted with a speaking task, they seem to forget everything and only rely on basic ones.🤐

So, I have created a FUNCTIONS PICKER WHEEL that forces them to use a variety of expressions while debating certain topic, for example. 💢💯

HOW❓️❓️

I spin it while they are performing a speaking task and, without pausing, they must use one of the "useful phrases" they know to comply with the selected option . For example:"interrupt your partner politely".✅️

The same can be done by handing in a minimun of three cards with functional language to each student. While they are debating a topic , sitting in a circle (teacher outside it, taking notes for follow-up feedback) they must use at least ONE phrase from their card and pass it on to the person on their right.This way, you force them to use functional language with a game-like activity.✅️

EXTRA‼️‼️ You will be activating their critical thinking skills as they need to decide when and how to use these phrases.

TIP FOR KWT exercise ‼️‼️

➡️ Try the DELETING TECHNIQUE.

➡️ Take the sentence transformation exercise..For example:

On holiday, I prefer going sightseeing to relaxing on the beach. RATHER

On holiday I .................than relax on the beach

➡️ CONSIDER WHAT IS THE SAME IN BOTH SENTENCES AND THEN DELETE WHAT IS THE SAME IN THE FIRST SENTENCE.

In this case, you are left with:
PREFER GOING SIGHTSEEING

➡️ Invite your students to think about a structure that matches the meaning and includes the given word.

On holiday I  WOULD RATHER GO SIGHTSEEING than relax on the beach.

Si. Es mi cumple hoy. Y , en castellano -porque es el idioma del corazón- me gustaría compartir con Uds lo que siento. 

Éste fue un año intenso. De muchas emociones. 

Un año que me permitió crecer profesionalmente , conocer colegas inspiradores y construir caminos  con gente que piensa como yo sobre educación y valores. 

Un año de desafíos, de inquietudes, de incertidumbre , de complicaciones familiares, pero también  de momentos y mensajes que atesoro en mi corazón.

Un año donde recibí el reconocimiento de mis pares, lo que me llenó de orgullo.

Un año donde Cre-Arte creció , se consolidó y mostró lo que puedo dar y lo que soy.

Un año donde cada pasó que dí sirvió para volverme más resiliente.

Por eso, mis queridos amigos, colegas y seguidores, mi alma está llena de gratitud . 

Y,si me permiten, quisiera compartir con Uds partes de mi canción favorita. La que me inspira, me empuja y me permite creer que todo es posible  cuando uno actúa con el corazón.

¿Por qué el 10 de noviembre es el día de la Educación Emocional?

Ese día en el 2016 la provincia de Corrientes aprueba la Ley de Educación Emocional que llevaría de forma vertical y transversal esta estrategia educativa a las aulas.

En el 2018 la provincia de Misiones hace lo mismo.

De esta manera, Argentina se convierte en el primer país del mundo que tiene una Ley de Educación Emocional.
