Los modales pueden ser complicados... Sobre todo cuando en español las expresiones se ven iguales 🙃

SHOULD is about advice, or making suggestions (sometimes its about likelihood or probability: They should be here by now!)
HAVE TO is about obligation, especially when dictated by an authority.
·
"You ✨should✨ exercise at least 3 times a week."
"You can go for a hike if you'd like, but you ✨don't have to✨."
"You ✨have to✨ follow the law."

Si podés reemplazar "tenés que" con "deberías", es mejor utilizar SHOULD👍

Some examples:
