☀Shall we talk about memes?☀
Es fija que en clada clase algún alumno siempre menciona este meme😂 We all love it, but it may be a hard nut to crack.
Estas palabras son todas muy parecidas en su forma escrita, pero tienen significados y pronunciaciones diferentes -What a pain in the ..🙊!
🖋 TAUGHT: it is the past tense of the verb Teach. How is it pronounced? /ˈtɔːt/ -> haciendo mas largo el sonido de la O. (No suena ni como A ni como U)
🖋THOUGH: this word is an adverb y lo usamos como conector. Significa "sin embargo/aunque". How is it pronounced? /ðoʊ/ -> (dou)
🖋THOUGHT: It is the past tense of the verb Think. Vamos a pronunciar este verbo sacando la lengua entre los dientes y haciendo un sonido simil "z" /θɔt/-> (zot)
🖋THROUGH: significa "a través de". Vamos a usar el mismo sonido de la Z seguido de una R y una U (si, todas las otras letras son mudas) /ˈθru:/ -> (zru)
🖋THROUGHOUT: Same Pronunciation as the previous word + "out". Puede usarse como sinónimo de through y también significa "durante" /θruːˈaʊt/
🖋THOROUGH (I really hate this one😂) it is an adjective and it means Detailed, Careful (meticuloso- detallado). How do we pronounce it? /ˈθʌrə/ -> sería algo asi como nombrar la marca de ropa Zara, con una Z fuerte y una R bien English like.
🖋TOUGH: this adjective means Hard, strong and it is pronounced
/tʌf/ (si, no suena ni la O ni la U ni la G 😂)
😁Reminder for my students: start practising these words for the following classes!
