Child Rights Expert at the Center for European Studies, Mariam Muradyan, participated in the International Conference on the Role of Academia in Promoting Child Rights, co-organised by the International Hellenic University and UNICEF Greece Country Office (4 & 6 June 2026).

In this context, she presented the abstract “Child Leadership in Academic Research on Children’s Rights,” focusing on children as co-creators and leaders in knowledge production on their own rights.

The conference brought together academics, practitioners, policymakers, UN agencies, civil society, and young people to discuss how academia can more effectively advance child rights across disciplines.

Global Alliance for human rights is about to be launched in Geneva. UN rights chief Volker Türk will launch "A global alliance to mobilize, to influence, to uphold, to protect, and to advance human rights."

Global Alliance for Human Rights - Launch Event In Geneva, UN rights chief Volker Türk will launch "a global alliance to mobilize, to influence, to uphold, to protect, and to advance human rights."

2026 թվականի հունիսի 9-ին Երևանի պետական համալսարանի Եվրոպական ուսումնասիրությունների կենտրոնի «Ռոբերտ Շուման» սրահում տեղի ունեցավ քրեակատարողական ծառայողների վերապատրաստման դասընթաց՝ «Մարդկանց թրաֆիքինգի և շահագործման դեմ պայքարը և զոհերի իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը քրեակատարողական համակարգում» թեմայով։

Դասընթացը կազմակերպվել էր Ռաուլ Վալլենբերգի Մարդու իրավունքների և մարդասիրական իրավունքի ինստիտուտի, ԵՊՀ Եվրոպական ուսումնասիրությունների կենտրոնի և ՀՀ արդարադատության նախարարության «Իրավական կրթության և վերականգնողական ծրագրերի իրականացման կենտրոն» ՊՈԱԿ-ի համագործակցությամբ։

Մասնակիցներին ողջունեցին ԵՊՀ Եվրոպական ուսումնասիրությունների կենտրոնի տնօրենի տեղակալ Լիլիթ Միրզոյանը, ՀՀ ԱՆ «Իրավական կրթության և վերականգնողական ծրագրերի իրականացման կենտրոն» ՊՈԱԿ-ի տնօրեն Գևորգ Սիմոնյանը և Ռաուլ Վալլենբերգի Մարդու իրավունքների և մարդասիրական իրավունքի ինստիտուտի ծրագրի պատասխանատու Արման Գասպարյանը։

Դասընթացը վարեց ԵՊՀ Եվրոպական ուսումնասիրությունների կենտրոնի փորձագետ Սերգեյ Ղազինյանը։ Ծրագրի շրջանակում քննարկվեցին մարդկանց թրաֆիքինգի և շահագործման էությունը, դրանց սահմանումները ներպետական և միջազգային իրավունքում, թրաֆիքինգի բաղադրիչներն ու փուլերը, ինչպես նաև մարդկանց թրաֆիքինգի, շահագործման և հարկադիր աշխատանքի հասկացությունների տարբերակման հիմնախնդիրները։

Առանձին անդրադարձ կատարվեց մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության միջազգային չափանիշներին, այդ թվում՝ Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարանի նախադեպային իրավունքին, Նելսոն Մանդելայի կանոններին և Եվրոպական բանտային կանոններին։

Դասընթացն ուղեկցվեց գործնական վարժություններով, որոնք մասնակիցներին հնարավորություն տվեցին կիրառելու ձեռք բերված գիտելիքները մասնագիտական գործունեության համատեքստում։

Դասընթացի ավարտին անցկացվեց գիտելիքների գնահատում, որից հետո մասնակիցներին հանձնվեցին հավաստագրեր։

Ուրախ ենք տեղեկացնել, որ ԵՊՀ Եվրոպական ուսումնասիրությունների կենտրոնի Մարդու իրավունքներ և ժողովրդավարացում մագիստրոսական ծրագրի ուսանող Մարիամ Խուրշուդյանը մեկամսյա փորձնակություն է իրականացնելու Կոնրադ Ադենաուեր հիմնադրամի Բրյուսելյան գրասենյակում։

🎉Սա նոր և կարևոր նախաձեռնություն է, որը բացում է միջազգային մասնագիտական զարգացման և համագործակցության նոր հնարավորություններ երիտասարդների համար։

They are in schools, regions, and communities—engaging with their peers, collecting data to address scientific gaps, and actively co-creating and influencing their rights here and now.

We are reaching a point where children are not only developing agency but are also supporting adults in better understanding contemporary childhood and adolescence.

Our role is to support with expertise, to protect where needed, and to stand alongside children—holding the hand of this generation and those to come.
