🔹 Please note that campus will be closed on April 6 in observance of Easter Memorial Day.

Please note that, due to the threat made by Iran to target American universities in West Asia and the Middle East, all AUA classes on Monday, March 30, will be held fully online. The University administration is monitoring the situation closely and will keep you informed of any changes to the schedule or modality of instruction.

In taking this step, we emphasize that we have received no direct threats against our university, and no indication that we are in any kind of danger, so there is no cause for alarm. This is simply a precautionary measure, taken out of an abundance of caution, because the safety of our community is of paramount importance.

AUA community members, please check your AUA email regularly and rely only on official AUA communications for the latest updates.

What if the way we think is slowly being replaced?

TEDxAUA Student Club, in collaboration with the Global Affairs Society Student Club, invites you to the TED Screening and Debate, an interactive space for discussion and critical thinking.

We will start with a TEDxAUA talk screening, followed by a debate on the question
“Should we use AI as a tool in our everyday life — YES or NO?”

Our judges will share feedback at the end. They will be announced soon 👀

Experience history up close with the presentation of an original Armenian Gospel book from New Julfa (1665).

Visual texts have existed in art since ancient times—but can we understand them without knowing their language?

The workshop “How to Read a Painting: Symbols and Meanings in Baroque Art” explores the rich visual language of the Baroque era, one of the most symbolically dense periods in Western art. Through careful observation and guided interpretation, participants will learn how artists used symbols, composition, and imagery to communicate deeper meanings.

This session will introduce the foundations for understanding Baroque paintings and provide tools that can help interpret visual art from later periods as well.
