Հուլիսի 27-ից օգոստոսի 4-ը Եվրասիա միջազգային համալսարանում անցկացվեց Jean Monnet Summer School «The EU’s Green Deal Beyond the EU: Geopolitics, Policies, Cooperation, and Development» ամառային դպրոցը։

Մի քանի օր շարունակ Հայաստանի և տարբեր երկրների երիտասարդներ, ուսանողներ, հետազոտողներ ու մասնագետներ միասին ուսումնասիրեցին Եվրոպական կանաչ գործարքի ազդեցությունը ԵՄ սահմաններից դուրս՝ այն դիտարկելով աշխարհաքաղաքականության, քաղաքականությունների, միջազգային համագործակցության և կայուն զարգացման տեսանկյունից։

📚 Դասախոսություններն ու քննարկումները համակցվեցին փորձագիտական հանդիպումների, գործնական աշխատանքների և դաշտային այցելությունների հետ։ Մասնակիցները հնարավորություն ունեցան թեմաները դիտարկել նաև Հայաստանի իրականության մեջ՝ ծանոթանալով ոլորտային նախաձեռնությունների և շրջանաձև տնտեսության գործնական օրինակների։

🌱 Ամառային դպրոցի ընթացքում ձևավորվեց ոչ միայն գիտելիքի, այլև գաղափարների, փորձի և տարբեր երկրների ու մասնագիտությունների միջև կապերի փոխանակման հարթակ։

Ծրագիրն ավարտվեց մասնակիցների կողմից մշակված քաղաքականության առաջարկների ներկայացմամբ՝ գիտելիքից դեպի գործողություն անցում կատարելով։

Jean Monnet Summer School-ն իրականացվել է GreenPoLe Jean Monnet Module-ի շրջանակում և համաֆինանսավորվել Եվրոպական միության կողմից։


🌍 What happens when the green transition becomes a global conversation?

From July 27 to August 4, Eurasia International University hosted the Jean Monnet Summer School “The EU’s Green Deal Beyond the EU: Geopolitics, Policies, Cooperation, and Development.”

Over several days, young people, students, researchers, and professionals from Armenia and beyond came together to explore the impact of the European Green Deal beyond the EU, looking at it through the lenses of geopolitics, policies, international cooperation, and sustainable development.

📚 Academic sessions and discussions were combined with expert meetings, practical activities, and field visits. Participants had the opportunity to explore these topics in the Armenian context as well, discovering sector-specific initiatives and practical examples of the circular economy.

🌱 Throughout the Summer School, the programme became a space not only for learning, but also for exchanging ideas, experiences, and perspectives across countries and disciplines.

The Summer School concluded with participants presenting their own policy proposals — taking the step from knowledge to action.

The Jean Monnet Summer School was implemented within the GreenPoLe Jean Monnet Module and co-funded by the European Union.

🌍 From August 5–7, young leaders, diplomats-in-training and biodiversity advocates gathered in Yerevan for the Youth Biodiversity COP17 Simulation – Armenia 2026, a three-day simulation of the Seventeenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, held under the theme "Accelerating Implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework."

Hosted at the Armenia Marriott Hotel, the programme brought together participants for an immersive negotiation experience — stepping into the roles of Party delegates, the COP Presidency, Bureau members and observers to draft, debate and adopt real CBD-style decisions.

Over three days, participants engaged with:
🔹 Simulation orientation on the Convention on Biological Diversity, negotiation techniques and Rules of Procedure
🔹 Negotiations on Resource Mobilization and Financial Mechanism, with a focus on human rights and gender equality
🔹 The Gender Plan of Action and its integration across the Global Biodiversity Framework
🔹 Planning, Monitoring, Reporting and Review of national biodiversity strategies
🔹 Contact groups, regional coordination meetings and consensus-based decision-making
🔹 A dedicated session on synergies between the CBD and other international treaties, with a focus on the Rio Trio
🔹 A Nature-Culture Summit and the screening of "The Elements", the world's first musical periodic table
🔹 Space for youth to shape their own next steps beyond the simulation

The initiative was made possible through the collaboration of Eurasia International University, ՀՀ շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարություն Ministry of Environment of Armenia, ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարություն / Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Embassy of Sweden in Yerevan, Embassy of Belgium in Armenia, Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, CENS, Green Pole, and was co-funded by European Union in Armenia.

A truly international and academic gathering — connecting policy, diplomacy, human rights and youth leadership around one of the defining issues of our time: the future of biodiversity. 🌱

The programme concluded with the Closing Ceremony, including the presentation of certificates and awards, followed by a Networking and Farewell Reception. 🎓🌿

Three days, one shared mission: empowering young voices to shape the future of global biodiversity policy.

Մատենադարան են այցելել Եվրասիա միջազգային համալսարանի Ժան Մոնե մոդուլի ամառային դպրոցի մասնակիցները

Եվրասիա միջազգային համալսարանի կողմից կազմակերպված «Եվրամիության Կանաչ համաձայնագիրը ԵՄ սահմաններից դուրս. աշխարհաքաղաքականություն, քաղաքականություններ, համագործակցություն և զարգացում» թեմայով Ժան Մոնե մոդուլի ամառային դպրոցի մասնակիցներն այցելեցին Մատենադարան։ Ծրագիրը ֆինանսավորվում է Եվրոպական միության «Էրազմուս+» ծրագրի Ժան Մոնե գործողության շրջանակում։

Այցի ընթացքում նրանք շրջեցին Մատենադարանի թանգարանում, եղան Ձեռագրերի վերականգնման բաժնում, ինչպես նաև հնարավորություն ունեցան ծանոթանալու հայկական վերականգնողական թղթի արտադրամասի աշխատանքներին։

Participants of the Jean Monnet Module Summer School of Eurasia International University visited the Matenadaran.

Participants of the Jean Monnet Module Summer School on the topic “The European Union Green Deal beyond the EU: Geopolitics, Policies, Cooperation and Development,” organized by Eurasia International University, visited the Matenadaran. The project is funded under the Jean Monnet Action of the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme.

During the visit, they toured the Matenadaran Museum, visited the Manuscript Restoration Department, and also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work of the Armenian restoration paper workshop.

Եվրասիա միջազգային համալսարանում հաջողությամբ եզրափակվեց 120-ժամյա (4 ECTS) ինտենսիվ միջդիսցիպլինար վերապատրաստման ծրագիրը, որը վարում էին Աննա Մարտիրոսյանն ու Էդգար Ամիրխանյանը։

📝157 մասնակից՝ բակալավրիատի, մագիստրատուրայի, ասպիրանտուրայի ուսանողներ և շարունակական կրթության մասնագետներ (տնտեսագիտություն, ԱԲ, դեղագործություն, PR, SMM և այլն)։

📝 6 բովանդակային մոդուլ՝ ներառելով կայուն զարգացման նպատակները, ԱԲ-ով աջակցվող տվյալների վերլուծությունը, կանաչ և դիմակայունության հաղորդակցությունը։

📝 Գործնական մոտեցում՝ ինտերակտիվ առաջադրանքներ, հետազոտական նախագծեր և մեդիապորտֆոլիոյի մշակում։

📝 Ծրագիրը ևս մեկ անգամ ապացուցեց կայունության կրթության, նորարարական տեխնոլոգիաների և համալսարան-արդյունաբերություն գործակցության արդյունավետությունը։ Հաշվի առնելով մեծ հետաքրքրությունը՝ ԵՄՀ-ն շարունակելու է նմանատիպ նախաձեռնությունների ընդլայնումը։

Eurasia International University has successfully wrapped up the 120-hour (4 ECTS) intensive interdisciplinary training program led by instructors Anna Martirosyan and Edgar Amirkhanyan.

📝 Practical Focus – interactive lectures, research projects, hands-on AI tool applications, and media portfolio development.

The success of the program highlights the powerful synergy between sustainability education, innovative technologies, and university-industry collaboration. Building on this great engagement, EIU plans to continue and expand similar initiatives in the future!
