♟️ AGM Robert Grigoryan vs. a Living Legend GM Rafael Vaganian ✨

Across the board stood GM Rafael Vaganian - former World #4, Soviet Champion, two-time World Championship Candidate and one of the great representatives of Armenian chess history 👑

And even at 74, the legendary Grandmaster showed that chess vision has no age.

Vaganian seized a winning position and, with the clock becoming another weapon, kept Robert under serious pressure.

But the game wasn't over.

AGM Robert Grigoryan survived the critical moments and brought the battle into his territory - the endgame ♟️

There, patience replaced pressure.

Move by move, Robert outmaneuvered the legend, turned the position around and converted the endgame in his favor ✨

Պարտվում ես ու ինքդ քեզ խոստանում՝ վերջ, այլևս չես խաղալու։
Մի քանի րոպե անց արդեն մտածում ես, թե որտե՞ղ սխալվեցիր։

Ատում ես վրիպումները։
Ատում ես պարտությունները։
Ատում ես այն մի դիրքը, որն ամբողջ գիշեր մտքումդ նորից ու նորից վերլուծելու ես։

Ու ինչ-որ կերպ միշտ վերադառնում ես։

Գուցե հենց սա է շախմատի առանձնահատկությունը՝
կարող ես այսքան ատել միայն այն, ինչն իրականում շատ ավելի ուժեղ ես սիրում։

♟️ When the Attacker Gets Attacked 🔥

In his Closed Sicilian series, FM Alen Yeremyan faced IM Marc Esserman - a player famous for fearless attacking chess, sacrifices, and deep knowledge of sharp Sicilian positions.

Esserman built his reputation around tactical chaos and became one of the great modern advocates of the Smith–Morra Gambit, even writing the acclaimed Mayhem in the Morra!.

But this time, one mistake was all Alen needed.

He did not forgive it.

A stunning knight sacrifice ripped open the position, and suddenly it was Esserman who had to survive the mayhem 💥

The attack became overwhelming, and on move 17, the International Master was forced to resign.
