At this meeting, the participants discussed chapters 1-4 of the book.
📘At the beginning of the meeting, the participants addressed the question of what the “Unspeakable Word” symbolizes and why it has such an impact on society. Then, they talked about why Equality 7-2521 is different from its brothers, and how society interprets this difference.
✨In the second part of the meeting, the participants mentioned what is more powerful in this story: fear or curiosity.
📖At the end of the discussion, opinions were expressed on how a person can be truly moral if he is never allowed to choose.
⛲️In the book club discussions, the participants also present interesting everyday examples that help to understand the relevance of this philosophy.

✨On June 6, the “Summer Book Club 2026” program was launched at the Ara Sargsyan and Hakob Kojoyan House-Museum. Within the framework of the program, participants will read and discuss Ayn Rand’s “Anthem”.
📣Gor Badalyan, CEO of ARCA, delivered a welcoming speech, wishing the participants a good course and productive discussions.
🎙️At the beginning of the discussion, the participants completed an interesting introductory task. Each introduced herself/himself and another participant without using the words “I”, “Me”, “My” and “You”. After the task, each participant stated her/his real name and briefly answered how she/he felt not using the word “I” and whether speaking with “we” changed her/his way of thinking about himself.
📚In the second part of the meeting, the participants mentioned why society might be afraid of independent thinkers and
what might happen if society eliminates the concept of “I”.
📖The launch of the “Summer Book Club 2026” program was promising, and many interesting discussions about the book itself are expected in the near future.

🎨Today, ARCA was honored to host author, teacher, and art guide Luc Travers for a thought-provoking discussion on the philosophical and emotional dimensions of Armenian art.
🖼️Through the works of Hovhannes Aivazovsky, Vardges Sureniants, Martiros Saryan, and Minas Avetisyan, participants explored themes of heroism, beauty, values, human aspiration, and the role of art in expressing a culture’s deepest convictions.
🌾A particularly engaging part of the discussion focused on Vardges Sureniants’ painting “Salome”, where participants examined the dramatic tension of the work, its portrayal of character and moral choice, and the broader question of how art communicates ideas about human nature and values.
🖌️The session offered a unique opportunity to view Armenian art not only as cultural heritage, but also as a window into philosophical questions about life, meaning, and the human spirit.
🧑🏻🎨We extend our sincere gratitude to Luc Travers for sharing his expertise and insights, and to all participants for their thoughtful questions and active engagement.
